Miley Cyrus Doesn't 'Believe' in 'Twilight'

Count Miley Cyrus out of the midnight showings of 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon,' because the 16-year-old superstar doesn't like the series.

"I've never seen it and nor will I ever," Cyrus told a Cleveland radio station backstage at her concert, MTV News reports. "I don't believe in it. I don't like vampires."

"I don't like the wolf that pops out of the screen when I'm watching my TV at night. I don't like it. I don't want anything to do with it. I don't like the shirts. I don't like any of it," she added.

However, she realizes she's probably one of the only girls her age not into the fantasy saga.

"I feel really lame because everyone's, like, so excited, and I'm like, 'Don't even talk about it,'" the Disney tween admitted.

Miley Cyrus hates anything that takes anyones attention away for her for more than 2.3 seconds. She is trash and her parents ought to be ashamed of themselves for not taking her in hand long ago. She should be at home going to school and learning how to be a young lady instead of acting like some high paid street walker. She is "one" of the worst influences on our young girls today and she is just one of the reasons we should have moral barometers for all these stars, celebrities etc.. I can't say enough bad about her. Its shameful when people think of the US they think of her. She's an embarrassment to the US of America.

its so annoying when people say they don't like something without even trying it. if you've never seen the movie or read the book then how do you know you like it? i'm 27 and i loved the movie. miley is an idiot.

True, but she isn't marketed to an older audience. All she said is she doesn't like vampires and won't be seeing the movie; she didn't tell everyone else not to see it, so why all the nastiness?

I agree! That was exactly my thoughts too, she hates it because it's getting more attention than her. I don't care for her, she's not that great of a singer and is way over-rated. She's not a good role model for young girls anymore either.

hahaha i totally agree with you.. im a teen and can't stand her. i think shes a bad influence and not that good of a singer and way over rated. im not a huge fan of the twilihgt either.. i havent read the books but i most likely will in a little while and i saw some of the first movie and didnt like it. i mite see this movie but its doubtful lol

I am HAPPY 4 u MILEY, finally somebody in the media circus who doesn't follow after the trends and the subtlety of this culture..its her chose as an example to other young women not to follow it up, I celebrate those who will not throw themselves in the fire..stay the course young people all that glitters is'nt really what it is.

MILEY IS A TREND that has been crammed down the throats of little girls who are too young to understand what is happening to them. She is only saying this because she is JEALOUS of the attnention! She is a hick that acts like she has no eduuumacation... probably because she doesn't and it SHOWS!

I read the first book, tried to get into the second and decided I wouldn't waste my time on the books. The books are obviously intended for tweens and young teen girls, are unoriginal and IMHO, poorly written. I also rented the movie and forced myself to sit through it, one of the worst movies I have ever seen and K. Stewart one of the most wooden actresses around. I just don't understand the hype and hoola surrounding the books and movies by anyone over the age of 15, especially when far better vampire movies/series are available.
