Mya Is Ready To 'Relax and Recuperate' After 'Dancing With The Stars' Finale

Less than a week before the 'Dancing With The Stars' finale, Mya is feeling the painful effects of dancing for over ten weeks now. Working eight to fourteen hours a day, she's ready to face her competitors, Donny Osmond and Kelly Osbourne. But it's also obvious she's itching to wind down and focus on getting her life back to normal.

Following Tuesday's finale, she'll fly straight to New York for press and "hopefully go to Maryland for Thanksgiving to see my family after all of this is over. Then, I am going to take time off to relax and recuperate," Mya tells PopEater.

Mya is having the time of her life, but admits she's made a lot of personal sacrifices to make it this far in the competition.

"I've been working hard and have sacrificed quite a lot. My friends are pretty distant and mad at me right now because I've had no life... I haven't seen my family either, but I am having the time of my life. I know with the hard work, overtime, dedication and passion, I can be great. I want to put my best foot forward," she says.

As rehearsals become more intense, Mya isn't worried about her competitors. "There are different elements that each of us bring to that floor. I'm just praying there aren't any wardrobe malfunctions. That can definitely interfere. I had one last week, but I was able to cover it up. It can be a disaster... I pray for the best and just want to have fun regardless of what happens. We've made it so far, and I'm so happy where I am."

As for the finale show, Mya believes the person who wins "just has to dance well and be a great entertainer."

"Our bodies are too broken down to pull out any secret weapons at this point," she laughs. "Everything we do has to be rehearsed down to a tea. There are no surprises."

While she's excited about the finale, she revealed that when the competition wraps, she and dance partner Dmitry Chapin plan to donate money they've been collecting throughout the show.

"Dmitry and I actually created some rules for semi-final and finals week for ourselves. Paying a $50 fine when we're late is mandatory. We have to respect each other and be professional at this stage in the competition, and we want to look great and win. Being late is not an option," she says.

While they've been taking it seriously, she admits the collection is adding up though. "Actually, we both had to pay yesterday because we were both late. It's all going to charity at the end of the competition... Most likely I'll donate to breast cancer research," she reveals.

I'll dance in your place Mya. If your friends are unhappy with you because you are spending too much time away from them then they aren't your friends.

WELL SAID!!! My thoughts precisely...REAL friends would NOT be mad at her, but cheering her on! Geez, how long have they not seen her? I've got great friends I haven't seen in years! These "friends" need to be dropped!

I just love Mya she deserves to take the trophy. Donny Osaond has no business being in the finals. It should have been a all girls final period.But in the end I believe that Mya should win because every week she dances her ass off and gives 110%.
