On Thanksgiving, the golden era of Motown will be heard in its hometown of Detroit once again, with newcomers paying tribute to the classics. Artists Melanie Fiona, Hal Linton, Shontelle, Kem, Forever the Sickest Kids and Vita Chambers are set to appear at the 2009 United Way Thanksgiving Day Halftime Show: A Motown 50th Anniversary Tribute.Performers Melanie Fiona and Hal Linton are no strangers to PopEater, as they've both already paid the New York office a visit earlier this year. When Fiona -- raised on the likes of Sam Cooke -- came by, she talked about her debut album, 'The Bridge.' And when Linton -- the singer behind the single 'She's Dangerous (Bang Bang)' -- came in a couple months later to preview his new album, 'Return From the Future,' he mentioned he'd love to collaborate with Motown legend Stevie Wonder.
