Miley Cyrus Tour Caravan Involved in Deadly Crash

Miley Cyrus' tour bus driver was killed last night after his vehicle flipped over on a highway in Virginia, TMZ is reporting. The singer's manager told TMZ, "It was one of our tour buses, but not Miley's. It was one of our buses that transported our lighting crew." According to officials, the 'Hannah Montana' star was on another bus traveling in the caravan. Cyrus was not injured.

A witness to the crash said the bus appeared to have drifted off the road for a fairly long stretch before tipping over. Officials are investigating whether Cyrus' driver might have died before the crash, which could explain why the bus drifted off the road. Nine people sustained minor injuries in the accident, but no other fatalities were reported.

Granted that what Sue said was off base about God protecting Miley, but those of you who responded so harshly are just mean. Is it really necessary to rip someone apart that way?

Sue, my prayers are more for the driver's family at this time, especially since Miley was on another bus and wasn't injured. My heart also goes out to the other nine people who were injured in the crash. I hope you might consider them, too.

Sue, I hope that someday you realize that just because a celebrity face and name are in an article, it doesn't necessarily mean the article is about them.

I feel deeply, sincerely sorry for the driver's, and his family's, loss. I would be thanking God that the other 9 people got out okay. I would be hoping that the "death before the crash" situation was the truth because he would've passed peacefully that way. I do not, however, thank God that Miley is okay, not out of contempt for her but for the fact that she wasn't personally involved. She wasn't on the bus, and she probably barely even knew or personally cared for the driver or her lighting crew.
