I am conservative and loved Adam on Idol, for many reasons! But as the person said previously, I too, am saddened. He really did have an awesome opportunity to showcase his talent, but that performance WAS over the top and inappropriate. I recorded the AMA's for my kids last night and I cannot let them watch it today when they get home from school. How do I explain why!? There are a lot of kids who liked Adam on Idol - AI and the AMA's are a prime time show! The AMA's are NOT an HBO televised event! But, it should have been. Very poor judgment on ABC's part, as well as Adams. He should have saved that performance for his concerts. I'm not so sure I'm going to hurry out today (or ever) to buy his CD as I had previously planned.
And I am not a prude, by any means. I just think that a lot of things done (and said!) in these prime time performances (by many artists, not just Adam) should be saved for their concerts.
I agree, but I am still planning on buying Adam's CD. I personally love Adam, from being on American idol..and from the American idol tour they did. You all have to understand that this is who he is. Yes he is gay, but we shouldn't be judging on those kinds of traits. It's who they are, and most the time, they can't change. I am straight myself, but love gays. They bring life and entertainment to everyday situations and that is what adam does. Yes, his performance was too over the top. And for the childrens' sake, he should have toned it down. But, he is who he is.
I had also planned on buying the cd - haven't done it yet - was so disappointed in the AMA performance.
After all, when they did confirm that he was gay at the end of the season- what difference did it make- it was about the music. Adam has a wonderful gift in that people are mesmerized by his voice. I love to hear him sing. Whatever he did at the AMA's wasn't singing. ADAM, Ya gotta put the music first- we dont care that you're gay, keep it in the bedroom.
He is so disgusting. I couldn't stand him on American Idol.

We were watching up until that point...the awards shows have truly gone south. Not only do they seem to try to shock everybody but they also have really dropped in the talent area. It's just not worth watching anymore & that Adam fag...I'm done...he needs to keep his crap in his own bedroom.

I thought Adam's performance was great! It was just Adam Lambert. We already new he was into doing things different and shocking, so like I said this was just him.

Myra I love all people including gay people I have gay friends but I don't except sin and being gay is a sin but I still love my friends but if they ask me I will still say it's a sin!
The bible says if you read it that men shall not lay with men. It is detestable to Jehovah. God finds if offensive and the only way that any gay person will be forgiven is to repent and change their ways. Read you bible. It is a fact.
actually the bible says that homosexuality is abomination, not sin, sex outside of marriage is a sin either way. it also says that you can stone your children if they don't obey, and also stone a woman who is not a virgin on her wedding nite and adulterers also to be stoned to death, so you bible beaters either accept it all or none of it you cannot pick and choose what to believe.
I agree 100%. adam lambert is one of a kind and either you love him or you hate him & personally I love him. he tells it like it is and he is a performer. in my opinion he is the male lady gaga. he takes risks and does somthing no one else would ever think to do. his performance was entertaining and kept my attention and i loved it. he has an amazing voice and puts on a good show. i was always speechless after adams performances on AI and i was definatly speechless last night, in a good way. it took me awhile to process what i had just saw, but after I thought about it and listened to the words he was singing he was just telling the world what he is all about and what they should expect. he said in rolling stones that he was on his best behavior on american idol and we can all see now that he definatly was. when he was on american idol i fell in love with his vocals, his personality and his amazing sexy self :) and I still support him 100%
Adam Lambert is opening door in the entertainment industry and he is here to stay, get over it. I can't wait to see where he goes in his career.
Adam should have just brought a donkey into his act and suck him off and then bend over and that would be even more entertaining.
The guy is a freak who is proud of shovelling feaces. Because someone does something that they enjoy doing doesn't make it right. Some killers enjoy what they are doing and get a rush seeing other people suffer.
This society is being run down by the explosion of homosexuals and their porn and S&M and threat to our children. No matter what they do they can never be happy - they have to take it to another level for still another let down. Gays are the saddest and most unhappy people in the world. Their next target will be our children and they will claim that they were born with sexual feelings for children and that they want that right legalized.
Even our political leaders are buying into their crap to gain votes.
I am sorry but I think it was sick. Not classy at all , I did vote for him on idol . I guess that was my mistake. I will not buy his cd for my daughter for Christmas. He went alittle to far for me. I do think he lost sales, stupid move for him.

his cd? for Christmas? for your daughter? what is the mater!!!!
I totally agree. I don't care who or what you are. That was not only over the top but down right abusive and disrespectful to any human being. Love and making love is a beautiful thing..... did anyone see anything beautiful about that? If you did well your missing out on alot. That was more then what I want on the National airwaves and we need to do something about it.......... Where did Prime time TV go... Did the bigwigs let there children watch this...I hope NOT!!
You did not make a mistake buying the CD. I've listened to the whole things and love it. Musically, vocally, it's a great CD. Adam has talent, there is no denying that. Let's hope he can get past this misstep.
It's not offensive, it's just stupid.
