Last night, the 46-year-old took the stage to perform the mid-tempo "I Didn't Know My Own Strength" off her new-ish album 'I Look to You.' That's what happened to J.Lo while performing her new single "Louboutins" at the American Music Awards last night. But she popped right back up like nothing happened. "That shows she's a true entertainer," will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas told Usmagazine.com. "It doesn't matter how you fall – just how you get up. She got up."

Lady Gaga AMA 2009 – Lady Gaga knows how to put on a performance. Never mind that she probably lip syncs every time she steps onstage. Forget that she'd be just a very ordinary singer without her shocking costumes. Take her for what she is: a performer. And a very good one at that. Witness her AMA performance of "Speechless." The girl belongs onstage.

Janet Jackson 2009 AMA Performance – Janet took to the limelight for a 7-minute montage of hits that spanned the decades and was dedicated to her recently departed brother. From 1986's "What Have You Done for Me Lately," to 1993's "If," to 2009's "Make Me," Janet blasted the audience with her trademark energy and attitude. She closed the act with an upbeat version of "Together Again," a song written in the mid-90s for AIDS victims. The song was clearly directed towards someone else last night. "Always been a true angel to me," she sang. "Now above, I can't wait for you to wrap your wings around me baby."

American Music Awards Winners – 2009 is really shaping up to be the year of Taylor Swift. The 19-year-old country queen (yes, she's officially graduated from "princess") took home awards for Artist of the Year, Favorite Female Artist (Pop/Rock), Favorite Female Artist (Country), Favorite Artist (Adult Contemporary), and Favorite Album (Country). Other notable winners include Michael Jackson, who posthumously won four awards including Favorite Male Artist (Pop/Rock and Soul/R&B), Jay-Z, who won Favorite Male Artist (Rap/Hip-Hop), and Green Day, who won Favorite Artist (Alternative Rock).

Liked Lambert's stuff on Idol; but between you n' me, last night was the worst ever! Too many who can't sing get by through screaming. So why would someone who "can" sing scream to make first-timers think he can't sing? Go figure...

Thanks to God JLO has some cushion on that fall. I think her performance was terrible, the song was BLAH I think she needs to retire. She is not orginal in her movies or in her music. She is the one "star" that I dont understand how she made it. There are so many other people more talented. The whole AMA's was pretty bad. There were some good performances but I think that bad outweighed the good.

Adam Lambert's performance to me...was pathetic. The man has been blessed with incredible voice. Apparently
he doesn't think his vocal talent is enough to get him through. He turned the focus from his music to display
his ability to be an animal. We are all sexual beings.
That doesn't make us talented. For me Adam just threw my appreciation of his talent down the sewer.

Adam Lambert doesn't sing..he screams and the rest is just garbage. I would much rather watch someone sing than have a bunch of people running and swinging all over the place making it difficult to even see the supposed singer.

I Love Adam Lamberts voice, couldn't wait for his performance. Was too sexual and he doesn't need to do that. He has the pkg. without it. I hope he has learned something from this. All he needs is a pair of jeans and a silver jacket and sing, love the makeup and hair just sing like he knows how!! I'm a married woman with 2 daughters and love Adam from day 1 and hope hes learned something from this.

I can't believe no one is saying anything about Emimen's performance--that's the performance people should be outraged about. The man has talent as a rapper, but what he was rapping was simply awful. I guess two men kissing is wrong but rapping about rape and murder is okay?????

Oh! my gosh, what is the matter with people anymore...There has been silly and stupid stuff on the ama's before and MJ is gone but he held his crotch all the time and no one said a word...As for a lot of the AMa's they were boring....Carrie Underwood had very little on and guys all around her and her changing....one guy sang about rape and lets get them all not just one......I love Adam and he is not trashy, he is classy.....
