The Age Old Question: When Should Stars Stop Partying?
Steven Tyler's
Aerosmith bandmates are worried about the frontman's erratic behavior.
"He's got some bad influences in his life right now and he's making poor choices," drummer Joey Kramer
told People. Aerosmith guitarist
Brad Whitford added, "His behavior is spinning out of control."
How do you tell a 61-year-old man to grow up? Tyler's condition isn't really anything new. The music world and Hollywood are full of aging lads who don't know when to take off the party pants. PopEater takes a look at a generation of celebs who should let the party bus leave the station without them.
David Hasselhoff
The Hoff, 57, loves his liquor. His daughter caught him shirtless, chowing down on a hamburger and drunk as a skunk in 2007. It would have been just another night for the Hasselhoffs except that the tape made its way to the Internet.
David Hasselhoff admitted a relapse and said he was working on his recovery but Hoff was reportedly tipsy again at the
MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin earlier this month, grabbing onto a wall for support and slurring his words onstage as he presented the Best Rock Award to
Green Day.
Keith Richards
Rolling Stone Keith Richards, 65, reportedly got so drunk on the set of "
Pirates of the Caribbean" in 2006 that the director had to prop him up. "If you wanted straight, then you got the wrong man," Richards said. Earlier that year Richards experienced a concussion after falling from a palm tree in Fiji.
Mel Gibson
Since
Mel Gibson, 53, went on his drunken anti-Semitic tirade when he was pulled over for driving while intoxicated in 2006, he has managed to keep his party in his pants. But every once in awhile Mel hits the gossip pages for having one too many at Nobu in Malibu. Thankfully he has stayed away from the wheel.
Kiefer Sutherland
Jack Bauer allegedly racked up a $700 bar tab with the "24" crew in San Pedro, CA earlier this month, before 1pm! But that's nothing compared to when
Kiefer Sutherland, 42, ties one on with his band, in sessions that have included break-dancing and head-butting and one instance of one-on-one combat with a Christmas tree.
Nick Nolte
Nick Nolte, 68, has one of the most famous celebrity drunk driving mug shots of all time, probably because he looks like a cross between a hobo and the Big Kahuna. Nolte may not party more than the rest of us but unfortunately has always seems to get stuck talking to reporter-folk after he's had a few too many beverages.

Partying & good health don't go together. Least they don't if you want to have good health when or if you reach the ripe old age of 65+.
Why can't all people get high off life! Be happy & enjoy everyday's pleasures. Alcohol & drugs.. destroys more than your health.. it also destroys your family. Applies to the Rich & Famous.. as well as all you & me.

I heard Keith went to doc to get a physical and found traces of blood in his heroin stream.

Partying is one thing. Acting like a horse's ass is quite another.

Im 34 years old and I will never look back at life and think i missed a thing, yet i have plenty of friends who say they regret not getting a chance to party hard, Il never stop drinking id rather be having the time of life now then more healthy when im 65 who cares then, I see no diff. if i die at 78 or 72, 6extra years of boredom and nothing to do in my 70;s doesnt matter... I have a strong feeling that the new singer of the Joe Perry Project, Hagen Grohe will be the new singer of Aerosmith, at least for a couple years anyway. His voice is similar to Steven's. Heck, i'd still go seem them live? The new Joe Perry cd is the direction Aerosmith needs to get back to.

I think that Steven Tyler still likes to party. He still feels like he's in the '70s all over again, when Aerosmith was hugely popular. And their '80s resurgence. That decadent, party-all-night lifestyle. He's holding on to his youth even if it's hard to accept that he's older now.
