PopEater Poll Results: How You Voted on Adam Lambert's AMAs Performance

Adam Lambert's performance at the AMAs was -- to put it nicely -- a little racy. And we wanted to know what PopEater readers thought of the crotch-shoving, keyboardist-kissing show.

We asked if the 'American Idol' runner-up's act at the American Music Awards was too risque. And 87 percent of over 270K voters believed that it was indeed too offensive. Get the Story and Vote

But you weren't the only ones who were offended but Lambert. ABC -- the network that broadcast the event -- received over 1,500 complaints following the singer's stage romp.

Furthermore, the producers of 'Good Morning America,' which also airs on ABC, pulled Lambert from its concert series after all the uproar.

the thing i dont understand is this if Mr lambert attest to wanting to be understood and he says he wants to just concentrate on music and he doesnt want his personal life involved with his celebirty then why such a performance why confuse the young adults who watch these shows because that will probably be the only way they get to see there favorite performers do shows i just dont get why as a country we always have to go to far so far for what reason why the kissing of the man and then you cry for privacy why the leash dragging and then beg for understanding if you can truly sing if you have talent why not just sing the children have no chance anything goes

His mother actually said on the Morning Show that she was kind of taken aback at first, but then she just kind of rolled with the flow and enjoyed it. If I was his mother, I would still be in shock.

Seems to me, hes not only talented and good looking, but he also has a very very good business sense.. Of all the acts on AMA, which one is everyone talking about?.. In time this uproar will settle and people will be tuning in and buying his albums unlike Chris "whats his name"... He'll tame his act where its not appropriate, but believe me people WILL buy his concert tickets to see his "performances" and he'll be laughting all the way to the bank.. so eat that HATERS lololol

Sincerity, honesty, talent, intelligence, humility, kindness, and last but not least…beauty…the Fierce One is truly, truly ….Different! That’s why he captivates and thrills us with each and every appearance, no matter what he’s doing! Also, how on Earth did those "11 and 8 year old children" even KNOW what Adam was doing in this performance. Where did they learn That?...watching TV with Mommy and Daddy? Or where else could they have learned that what they were watching was bad?

Racy?-yeah somewhat. Seems its ok when the women do a racy performance. As I recall Janet Jackson in her performance stuck her hand between a male dancer's crotch and bent him over. Rhinna or however you spell her name-gave a performance with her dancers with guns pointed. This after her beating from punk Chris. Madonna and Britney have a lesbian kiss-Madonna makes a sex book. Remember her phots hitchhiking in the book-naked. She had simulated sex in her shows. And now-she is a childrens author! Can't stand Madonna must admit. If you didn;'t like his show-there is a remote-change the channel.

Is there a new manditory rule that every performer on the AMA's must grab themselves between the legs and rub themselves for the audience? I really don't get it. Put some itch cream on your private parts before you go onstage!!

Who cares if Adam is gay. This was a show about music. Janet Jackson was just as bad grabbing her crotch as was one other woman who rubber her hands all over her breasts. Carry Underwood is a class act! You didn't see her fondling herself.

Straight people don't make public displays of their affection, why does Adam think that anyone wants to see him do it. If your gay your gay, your not a pervert.

It was not that bad but look at all the press coverage he is getting. Like he said if it were a female doing it there would not be the coverage that he is getting. I say smart business move.

Newsflash Adam: Simulated sex on stage has it's place, namely nasty bars (you know the type)and trashy nightclubs. National TV was not the correct setting for this choreography. In one fell swoop you went from being 'a talented performer who is gay', to 'that gay performer who wants to showcase his sexual preferences and shock value while delivering a mediocre vocal performance'. You blew it.

It's interesting that if we didn't like the performance, we're called haters or discriminating against Adam. That's the height of immaturity. I didn't like the performance because it was poorly sung, overdone, and obviously desperate. The overwrought choreography could best be described as school yard antics. Adam clearly wanted to make a 'nanny nanny boo boo' statement that he could do whatever he wanted and unfortunately it continues to make him look ridiculous by his own statements. He's a one trick pony at this stage. For a young man who has buckets of talent, to rely on the cheaper aspects of a performance to showcase himself shows just how much he needs to grow up.

Such a tragedy that this talented performer has to resort to smut. He does not have to do this; his awful performance will likely cost him a lot of fans. Get off the pole, Lambert and perform properly!

Oh so big deal, he kissed another boy.
Everyone forgets about Madonna & Brittany kiss, that was equally as un-necessary.

I was shocked at first by his performance and the vocals were not so good...but now I'm listening to his album. He is an incredible singer! I love his voice and his new album! In retrospect, I don't think his performance was any more racy than some of the others. He is a very sensual person and I have no problem with that. Put the kids to bed and enjoy!

What is wrong with wanting things to be tasteful and classy? This guy is not all that, and he will ruin his own career before it really takes off due to his need to be graphic and disgusting..
