Note to Paula Deen: Always beware of flying pork.The Food Network celebrity chef was trying to do some good by volunteering for the pre-Thanksgiving Hosea Feed the Hungry food drive in Atlanta, and before she new it, she was hit square in the face (nose and mouth, mostly) by an airborne ham that was being tossed for loading. Deen, clearly shaken by the incident, holds her face and is escorted out of the flying meat zone. Watch the Ham-Meets-Face Video Below:

This new era of celebrity chefs that was practically invented by the Food Nitwits ... I mean Food Network is quite the scam, isn't it? About 90% of their talent have no talent, and the other 10% aren't really allowed to showcase it. LOL What's REALLY insulting is when you see the Food Network shows in Canada and France that NEVER air in the United States - they DO have good programming, but they know that Americans just aren't ready for intelligent chefs.

Well I guess you dont even know who you talking about, she was successful before she even got on foodnetwork. She started her own bussiness from her house and now has a successful resturant in Georgia called Lady and Sons. So before you call someone a hack or phony better do some research.

It is you that doesn't understand the simply difference between a chef and a cook, be it good or bad...a chef graduated from a culinary(that's another word for cooking)school...no one else should be ever called a CHEF! I am surprised she did not try to eat it in mid air. Americans are way way overweight and how she cooks is a real bad example for our children. She makes food that is very high in fat and is proud of it. She needs to start cooking a healthier diet for her show and books and serve her dishes in smaller portions. One reason our insurance cost are rising is because American is so fat.

Wow! Does she really bother ya'll that much?? She's harmless, cute and entertaining. That hardly seems to inspire the sort of bile that AG4JAZZ is showing. Get a grip ... on the knob of your TV!
It's easy to see that her cooking methods aren't in lock-step with today's "organic" model, but it's not really as deadly as folks make it out to be. My mother, her mother and the aunt from hell all grew up eating like this (when it wasn't the depression) and the grandmother lived to be 87, the aunt until age 104 (crabby people never die young) and my mom will be 89 in a few months. She's in super health, still drives and finds plenty of energy to give my brother and me the bid'ness!
The conclusion? Bacon grease and butter aren't poison. It's the way lots of folks cook. And so far as I know there have been no incidents of people dropping dead in the street!
Take it easy, folks! You'll live longer.

I watched Paula make a punkin' pie. First, she opened a can of pumpkin filling. Then she dumped the contents into a frozen pie crust. Then she topped off the culinary masterpiece with Cool Whip. Voila! Then she ran her fingers through the pie and licked them clean. Yummy. Can't wait to see her make lasagna, with help from Stouffer's, of course.
