'ER' Star Shane West Smashes Face in L.A.

Shane West, who played Dr. Ray Barnett on NBC's 'ER,' needed some patching up when he tripped and fell on his face in his own backyard after having a few drinks, RadarOnline.com exclusively reports. After partying at Boulevard3 in Los Angeles where he watched Katy Perry perform, the actor and some of his pals decided to take the party back to his house. There he fell over, landing right on his face. The faceplant left him black and blue and cut up in the middle of last week.

According to his close friends, West tried to keep a low profile for the next several days, but he couldn't hide for long because he had to fly out of the country to tour with his band The Germs.

West is best known for his roles on the television series 'ER' and 'Once and Agai' and played opposite of Mandy Moore in the film 'A Walk to Remember.'

He is currently acting, performing with his band, The Germs and living in Los Angeles.

Of course he won because of name recognition and Entertainment Tonight (ET) giving him constant and excessive coverage that was unfair to the other contestants. Even Mary Hart from ET was sitting with Marie Osmond in the audience and cheering for him.
