Report: David Hasselhoff Rushed to Hospital After Seizure

RadarOnline.com reports that David Hasselhoff was found passed out at his home on Friday and that he was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance after suffering a seizure.

Hasselhoff's neighbor Christian says that one of the paramedics on the scene told him that the actor's "eyes were rolling back into his head, he was drooling and that he'd had a seizure." "Paramedics were called to the (address omitted) in Encino for medical aid," Los Angeles City Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott told RadarOnline.com exclusively. "Paramedics arrived at approximately 11:51 am and later transported the patient a nearby hospital."

Radar also reports that it's not yet known if there was any alcohol involved.

Hasselhoff was said to be working on his recovery from alcoholism, but was reportedly tipsy again at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin earlier this month, grabbing onto a wall for support and slurring his words onstage as he presented the Best Rock Award to Green Day.

I am soooo tired of Hasselhoff being rtushed to the hospital. DUDE, GET SOME RECOVERY IN YOUR LIFE!!! Then, maybe you'll have some life.

Hey 'B' I agree with Ernie. Hasselhof needs to go into rehab and stay there. He is an out and out alcoholic and every other month there is another health crisis. His health problems are due to his drinking which is causing problems on his internal organs. We are so sick of hearing about his crisis and his blah blah blah about going into recovery. He is an over the hill has been and no one is interested in him any more.

B, i kind of agree with ernie. i'm not going to preach but i way i see it is that if he don't care and he's not going to get help, why should the rest of us care. i'm getting tired of hearing about his stupidity.

Its is very sad to see that so many famous people have substance abuse problems. I wish him well in his recovery from the seizure and in his substance abuse recovery.

Actually, he could definitely have had a seizure, especially if he has destroyed his liver (cirrhosis) from his alcohol abuse. As a result of that, he could have seizures from the toxins that build up in his blood due to his liver no longer able to adequately clear them from his bloodstream - they then affect the brain and can lead to a "seizure". The fool won't be satisfied or convinced he has a drinking problem until he needs a liver transplant...

It's alot easier to quit if you never start. Everyone needs a crutch nowadays. It's called life. Get used to it. Can't just sweep everything under the rug. Best time to fix a problem is when it first arises...otherwise it keeps gaining momentum and gets bigger and bigger.

Late stage alcoholics that suddenly stop drinking are prone to seizures. The reason for this is because Alcohol (which is a swedative hypnotic, just like Valium and Xanax) lowers the seizure threshold, when the brain begins to awaken because it is not being sedated, when it goes above the threshold the person will have a seizure. Withdrawal fropm alcohol and any benzodiadepine can be very life threatening.

I can't help but to feel bad for him!! He must have MANY DEMONS that he's dealing with, or else he'd be able to stop over doing it with alcohol. Unless he faces those demons, and stops running, he will more than likely drink himself to death. I had a brother that did this, so I know.

Alcoholics frequently have seizures especially if they try to stop drinking on their own. If they go a few days without drinking-they have a seizure. He needs to check himself into a good detox. program and then sober living. If you fail once keep trying. Good luck David.

Demons don't make him drink. Alcoholism does. It is a disease. It is his only demon. He can try to get rid of his demons all he wants, but until he faces the fact that he is an alcoholic and cannot drink, period, his ONLY problem will be alcohol. The seizures are alcohol related. He might still have a chance to get sober, and I pray he does, but the sad fact is that the majority of alcoholics die this way.

Alcoholism is NOT a disease. Diseases are something you catch from viruses, germs or problems created within your body. Alcoholism can only be caught ON PURPOSE. You have to willingly drink enough alcohol to buid a dependency. He has an addiction that he can only blame on himself. It'll be when he wants to stay clean and sober that he will be able to beat his addiction. Stop enabling alcoholics by calling their addiction "a disease".

well, i think everyone knows he needs serious help.either he goes to rehab and continues a program to stay sober or hes going to die from drinking or the withdrawl eventually. and yes, im tired of hearing about it. i too am a recovering alcoholic/addict and either you get it or you dont.

I hope Hasselhoff will be ok, but it's really a shame he can't seem to get it together. He's had more money, fame and opportunities than most people but yet he's squandered so much of his life. After awhile, people are gonna turn and look the other way and then what's he gonna do?
