Stars We Didn't Know Were on the Walk of Fame

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a place where legends of showbiz are honored in the form of a big shiny star placed on the sidewalk for all to see and take photographs of. Yes, legends like Marilyn Monroe and Marlon Brando and actors of their ilk are all emblazoned on the walkway, but when John Stamos was recently honored with a star, we got thinking: There's a bunch of people we had no idea were on the Walk of Fame. So... let's take a walk down the less notorious star owners ... like Mr. Donald Duck on your left.

There are more people (and dogs and monsters) with stars on the Hollywood than we ever imagined. Here's a few Star owners we really had no clue about!

It should be the stars of shame in most cases although I really think that Majic is a good and descent man.

Stars on the Walk of Fame, Nobel Peace Prizes, they're dished out so frequently to the undeserving they mean nothing anymore. The public and the honerees themselves know who the really deserving are. Humphrey Bogart on the Walk with David Spade. Hmmm. Martin Luther King sharing the same honor with Obama and Gore. Double hmmm.

Doesn't Sally Fields have an Oscar for Places in the Heart and Norma Rae? I thought the prerequisite for a Star was either an award or a lifetime of achievement!

Initially,I thought it was a good idea to have a 'star's name set in stone on The Hollywood B.I didn't know there was such a thing until RAY DAVIES(former front man with The Kinks) wrote a song about it>Hollywood Boulevard.DAVIES himself should have one!

I thought at one time it was only for movie stars that work in the hollywood studios not for every other type of person? What happened,it's the same as the Rock n Roll hall of fame,it is being diluted by people that don't fit the genre.

Who cares? I sure don't. Most people I know do not care who has a star on the sidewalk. It is obvious from those who do that fame has nothing to do with talent.

Having a star with your name on it means nothing. I've lived in Hollyweird over 30 years and know what the late great Hollywood mayor was up to. YOU PAY FOR YOUR STAR!!! Yep, folks, pay enough and you can be on the walk of fame, too!

Sally Field should have been on the "Walk" years ago. She is a class act and does her acting well. Especially the scene at the cemetery in "Magnolias", and was wonderful with Jackie Gleason, Burt Reynolds and Jerry Reed in the "Bandit" movies. What's wrong with whomever adds the stars on the Walk? Don't they know acting when they see it on the big screen, and in videos? My, my.

The author of this article said Sally Field does not have a star. SO WHY NOT? She has won awards for her movies and is a very talent actress...a legend. Darn Shame she has been overlooked.
Somebody better do something about that.

It's because they'll give the star to anyone who will show up to get one. Like the typical Hollywood party--the typical Hollywood-ite will go to the opening of an envelope as I like to say.
Clearly the days of when a star on the walk of fame was very significant--now like the city itself- It's the walk of shame.
