Brittany Murphy's Husband Rushed to Hospital, Reportedly 'Incoherent'

Brittany Murphy's husband, Simon Monjack, was rushed to a hospital Saturday after his plane landed at LAX, TMZ reports. Although Murphy didn't think it was serious, the fire department disagreed. Murphy told the responding personnel she thought it was an asthma attack, but the EMTs felt it could be more serious than that. His condition has not be confirmed.

The flight from Puerto Rico landed in Los Angeles at 2:40 PM on Saturday. According to sources, Monjack was incoherent when EMTs boarded the plane.

Messages left by TMZ for Murphy's rep have not been returned.

She has starred in the films 'Just Married,' 'Clueless,' '8 Mile' and 'Uptown Girls.' Monjack has written and produced the films 'Factory Girl' and 'Two Days, Nine Lives.'

In May 2007, Murphy married screenwriter Monjack in a private Jewish ceremony.

Why not just say "private ceremony?" Why "private Jewish ceremony?" Are you pointing out every celeb's different marriage ceremony ("private baptist ceremony, private catholic ceremony, etc")? It was ridiculous to mention the religion. What was the point?

It's also pointless to mention that they added the additional details. Maybe they mentioned it simply to do that, to add an additional detail to a short article, and had no other motive. Does it matter WHY they mentioned it?

Me, when I read it, my first thought was "oh, didn't know she converted..or was she always Jewish?". Nothing more, nothing less. It's a basic "fun fact" like one of many in any gossip article.

Or to put it another way, I can handle that little additional detail. Why can't you?

I am sending my condolences to Brittany's husband, her parents and siblings, and other family members in regard to this tragic loss of a promising young lady whose life was cut short.

I can associate with the pain that the family is experiencing because I have lost my husband too in the same way Brittany died. My husband went into full cardiac arrest last September but the paramedics could not revive him. He died about a half an hour after the ambulance transported him to the hospital. I am still in the grieving process but I'm coping.

May God give this family the strength and the coping mechanism as He gave to me and the countless others who have gone through similar experience. The days ahead will be difficult ones but keep praying for that which we cannot do on our own. Brittany will be sorely missed by all who shared her life and knew her well.

Brittany has gone home - just transitioned into the light. She is capable of more than we are - we just do not see her in physical form. She lives in eternity until her soul decides to incarnate again.

sounds suspicious! check out hubby when i first heard this i thought about the tv movie back in the early 90's "buried alive" where the wife gave poison to her husband that caused a cardiac arrest.the fact the hubby did not want an autopsy raises red flags. grant it autopsy are grotesque but she has passed and reasons hopefully will be found. my heartfelt sympathy goes to brittany's entire family on this tragedy.
