Adam Lambert Says He Acts the Way He Does Because He Used to Be Fat

Adam Lambert's crazy pants American Music Awards appearance all makes a little more sense to us after hearing his interview with the Morning Jolt's Larry Flick on Sirius radio, where Lambert admits he suffered from an ugly duckling complex because he used to be quite the fatty.

"I suffered from a little bit of an ugly duckling complex in my early twenties. When I was in high school I was 250 pounds and that creates some stuff...some body image stuff, some confidence issues and I got a lot of my confidence from the validation I got as a performer," Lambert said. "It's common for kids who were made fun of for their weight to act out in that way. When you are developing your identity during those important years your self image and physical appearance are who you are," explains psychologist Cooper Lawrence, author of "The Cult of Celebrity." "Until you develop a life, a resume and a sense of who you are inside and you are criticized for weight it can have a long lasting impact. The AMAs were the perfect 'look at me now' moment. He not only looks amazing but he is so comfortable with who he is and it shows."

It is all coming together. Lambert used to be a chubby and now that he is much more svelte and sexy he wants to flaunt it as best he can, even if flaunting it means smooching his male guitarist and simulating oral sex onstage. We just bought some new skinny jeans when we managed to shed those hard to lose pounds, but hey, to each his own.

Yep, ruined his career. That's why he's on talk shows and giving interviews and every station has his picture on it and his CD is selling. He's not going away. I think he's great, he's cute and quite sexy and I'm straight.

To be called a 'homofob' correct spelling should be homophobe, suggests a fear of homos...which is WRONG. We are not afraid of you homos, we just don't want to 'tolerate' your lifestyle, you don't tolerate ours...you thing you deserve special rights not equal rights. To be tolerant is give up on your own morals and beliefs. I will NEVER tolerate homosexuality, it is an abomination.
Now, about Adam, REALLY? THAT'S his excuse? Because he was FAT? C'mon, Adam, you Still can't sing worth a flip, I would rather listen to fingernails on the chalkboard, than hear him 'sing'. I can't stand him. The fact that he's a fairy just multiplies the dislike for him.

He's not meant to "influence" or be a role model for your kids. How about you uptight folks raise your own kids and have them stop watching adult content - like the American Music Awards. I mean before we even got to Adam's performance, was your first clue that maybe your kids didn't need to be up and "influenced" that they had to bleep out half of Eminem and Fifty Cents?

Having said that - I hate that Adam has resorted to spin control with the "fat made me do it" defense. He's a grown a** man and an entertainer, who had ONE risque performance on the ONE primetime show known for letting entertainers push the envelope.

The gays talk about tolerance a lot and yet they cannot tolerate someone disagreeing with their lifestyles. How many straight people have you seen pushing someone's face in their crotch. What is fun in dragging someone on the stage by the collar while the whole world is watching. I thought you are supposed to do your thing in your bedroom not invite the whole world to watch. Keep it in your bedroom otherwise go to the cable or playboy channel. I don't want to see Adam going to the bathroom neither do I want to see him pushing another man's crotch on his face. Enough already we know you are gay even though it is not a natural lifestyle and you will like everyone to support you and agree that it is okay. It is not okay to be gay. If you don't like someone disagreeing with you then go live on another planet. Tolerance is accepting all kinds of nonsense as okay when it is not. If voicing my opinion and disagreeing with someone's irresponsible, crazy and unnatural behaviour is intolerance, so be it. The problem is those who disagree are forgetting that they are being intolerant too to the christians opinion. If you love tolerance so much, then tolerate this: Homosexuality is unnatural.
