Who Is Elin Nordegren, Otherwise Known as Mrs. Tiger Woods?

A beautiful blonde Swedish model named Elin Nordegren married Tiger Woods, stood quietly by his side at golf tournaments and gave birth to his two children, while trying to remain out of the spotlight.

Now Nordegren is being thrust into the public eye after her husband crashed his car in their front yard, as speculation runs rampant as to what happened in the early morning on Friday, Nov. 27.

But what do we know about Mrs. Woods? The Daily Beast looks into Elin.

Her parents divorced when she was 6: Thomas Nordegren and Barbro Holmberg split in 1986.

She modeled but didn't make a career out of it: In her native Sweden, Nordegren modeled some. "She wasn't a high-profile model," a source from a New York-based agency explained to the Daily Beast.

After college, she became a nanny: Elin worked for Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevik. It was through him she would meet her future husband.

Elin and Tiger met in 2001, at the British Open: He asked her out through a friend, which didn't sit well with Nordegren. "Her reaction was, 'What the hell was that?' She thought it was so weird and pathetic. Of course she said no," a friend of the Parneviks told Sports Illustrated.

Tiger persisted and would eventually win her over: Woods kept calling the Parneviks to convince Nordegren to go out with him and she finally said yes.

They found out they had a lot in common: She played sports and knew a lot about golf. "She was also conservative by nature, like him," a golf-industry source told the Daily Beast.

They married in a lavish 2004 ceremony: Their wedding and reception reportedly cost a cool $1.4 million.

She seemed like the perfect athlete's wife: "You could point to a thousand candidates for a professional athlete to choose from for a wife and she was maybe No. 1," the golf-industry source added.

They couple appeared to be fine: "I can only speak from their public appearances and very few private ones, but they seemed not to have any kind of conflict. What we think happened probably did, but there was no evidence of it. This wasn't like Dennis Rodman, who lived out his hostile relationships in the press," the golf-industry source said.

She doesn't speak to her father anymore: "I haven't spoken to her in the last few ... I don't want to go into that," Thomas Nordegren told the Associated Press in Sweden.

Her mother refuses to comment on the situation as well: "She doesn't want to comment on private issues like these," Barbro Holmberg's spokesperson said.

I suppose America would love for us to believe that everyone woman with blonde hair on their heads are beautiful… HaHaHa... America really takes the rest of us as fools. She’s looks like an average looking woman which isn’t a problem but damn she’s not beautiful and the fact that this story needed to be told just sickens me who cares how she ended up marrying Tiger Woods. Now since we are talking about this incident I will go ahead and tell my side of the story... I believe Tiger and his blonde were having a domestic dispute and she was probably attack the vehicle while he was attempting to leave he lose control of the vehicle which caused him to hit the tree and the fire hydrant. Now with that being said he doesn’t want to give a statement especially at this time because he very well may have some scratches or other bruises on him so he’s going to wait it out so when the bruises heal there will be no evidence of any type of altercation. He doesn’t want to get his wife in any trouble with the law so he’s wait it out and go from there that my side of the story.
Now with that being said who care.. Let this mess die.

Tigers injuries are the result of his wife going postal on his head with a golf club. His dizziness is why he crashed his car. He's backed out of that driveway a thousand times. Now the charities and the kids have to suffer because this guy can't handle his situation.

Tiger, like some people say, the putting green is greener on the other side. But then I not rich enough to find out.

I don't understand how people can assume things happened without any proof. How can people live with themselves starting these rumors? I guess that all mighty DOLLAR takes care of that. Don't people think that maybe Tiger and Elin have the right to have "PRIVACY" in their lives? This is how alot of celebrities end up with their lives torn apart. They do deserve privacy in their lives! It really isn't anyones business what goes on in their lives! People should leave them alone? I hope that the media and magazines are happy!

For the life of me, I cannot figure out why we need to know Tiger's personal business.

As far as his accident is concerned, all he is required to do is show his license, registration and proof of insurance. He was in a one car accident....was not drunk or on drugs......

For your information, science has proven mixed children are smarter and they are sam sure prettier. Also, I am white and have no mixed kids but i would if I were younger. Another thing, Tiger Woods is a golf pro, what he does his between him and his family. I can't understand why they plaster his business all over the tv? Don't people have lives of their own?

I don't see why you have to give out all of her personal information such as her parents got divorced and she modelled but didnt make a career out of it. I really dont think anyone cares about that at all. And honestly stuff like this happens to people everday, but since he's Tiger Woods of course its the top news story, that's why the media sucks.
