Although Katie Holmes' decision to put daughter Suri Cruise in high heels has sparked a lot criticism, the actress defends her footwear decision."She, like every little girl – she loves my high heels," Holmes told Access Hollywood.
But the ones Suri wears are supportive. "They are actually ballroom dancing shoes for kids. I found them for her and she loves them," Holmes adds.

We let my daughter play in high heels all the time-at home! and never, ever, never on the stairs.

While I agree that all little girls want to wear big girl shoes.. It looks very inappropriate and on a child this age who's out and about on a daily basis.Even if the shoes have proper support. What else is she gonna let her wear next? Just because she wants to. I'm sorry but I happen to think there needs to be something to look forward to doing when one grows up or then the Magic is gone.

Tom Cruise and his wife are totally nuts. Him with his religious fanatic ways and her acting like a Stepford Wife need to leave that child alone. She is a little girl and has no business in high heels. I don't care that they are "dancing" shoes with support - let her be a little girl and grow up little by little. Time flies by so quickly and before you know it, she'll be in high school. Enjoy your child as she is and let her live a little girl's life.

I don't think she looks like a welfare waif...just like a normal little girl, but I wanna know, how the heck does she run and play in those shoes....most kids that age are falling down all the time anyway let alone with heels on. Even my 8 yr old does not wear her dress shoes with a little heel on a daily basis. Why? Because we say no, she can't run around, ride bikes, do cartwheels and all that with those kind of shoes.

I have seen pictures of Suri out in the cold with no coat on. I have never seen her in pants. Her mom wears pants and coats. Why is the 3 year old allowed to walk around in the cold without a caot on. AS for the shoes. They would kill my feet. Bet this child has sores all over her feet. Iv'e seen her with the bottle in her mouth to. WTF is wrong with her parents.

I don't get all the hoopla. She's a little over indulgent of her daughter and people want to string her up for child abuse. Geez people.
I was 4 and wanted this very specific pair of high heeled cowboy boots. Guess what I got them. I didn't break any bones or get hurt. I also ran around in frilly dresses with full slips (like the little beauty queens wear, only without all the sequins). I'm none the worse for wear.
After kindergarten I became a little tom boy. It's a phase, more importantly, it's not your decision!

High heels to play dress up in the house is one thing, wearing them outside is another! Plus this is now December and this child is still going outside without a coat or jacket and often without tights or socks! If this was someone else's child you can bet social services would be called and making a home assessment!

I guess we now know who the mother is in the relationship, katie will have alot of regrets when Suri gets older and controls her mother about everything. he's learning young from Scientology, the first thing to control is your parents. Suri is a quick study! Poor little rich girl!

And good podiatrist or othopedist will tell you that one reason women have so much back and foot trouble is their insistence that they wear high heels. Admittedly, this may just be a phase that Suri is going though, but if she should not continue to wear high heels until she is fully grown.
