Britney Spears and Lady Gaga Cover Up, Strip Down for Elle

It's been quite a year for Britney Spears and Lady Gaga. While Spears has clawed her way back to form with hit songs ('3') and a blockbuster tour, Gaga has actually emerged as the year's breakout star of dance pop and extreme fashion. Both have had 2009's to remember. Now both are gracing dual January covers of Elle Magazine, which has given PopEater an exclusive first look at the Britney image. Check Out the Furry Shot:
Inside the magazine, you can find more Britney Elle images, an inside look at the Gaga cover shoot, and an interview with the 'Bad Romance' singer, in which she reveals her hopes for kids (someday).
Sexuality and Art: "My album covers are not sexual at all, which was an issue at my record label. I fought for months, and I cried at meetings. They didn't think the photos were commercial enough ...The last thing a young woman needs is another picture of a sexy pop star writhing in sand, covered in grease, touching herself."Men and Kids: "In eight to 10 years, I want to have babies for my Dad to hold, grand kids. And I want to have a husband who loves and supports me, just the way anyone else does. I would never leave my career for a man right now, and I would never follow a man around."
Waiting Tables: "I was really good at it. I always got big tips. I always wore heels to work! I told everybody stories, and for customers on dates, I kept it romantic. It's kind of like performing."

For all those who dis Lady Ga Ga...
Hating her won't make you pretty.
She is more talented than you.
She is beautiful.
...and she's educated...she went to one of the best art schools in America. I've seen interview with her. She is a very down to earth person and very intelligent!!
Ummmm this is to Declined.... how do you know that Lady Gaga is more talented than everyone who disses her? For all we know, someone with the voice of Andrea Botticelli could be reading that right now. And we all know that Lady Gaga is NO Andrea Botticelli. Heck, she's not even a Christina Aguilera. "Assume makes an ass out of you and me."
And of course hating someone doesn't make you pretty. It's your genetics ;)

Couldn't agree more. The titled states: Britney Spears and Lady Gaga Cover Up...what these two (and many other so called singers) need to cover up is their mouths...they can't sing a lick. They both sound like chimpmunks sucking helium.
I'm not really impressed with Gaga's looks or her "look", but I do think that she does have an excellent and strong voice. I think that if she toned down her act a bit, it would be a lot more interesting to watch. But I also have to remember that this is only MY opinion. There are millions of people out there, all with THEIR own opinions about her, and I respect each one in its own way.
Gaga is an entainer and not just a "singer", and that is what makes her stand out. I do think that once she has a more solid following, she will then back off a bit on the heavy theatrics and then concentrate on the music itself. I will be a stronger fan when that day arrives.
Lady GaGa is very attractive in her own sort of ugly way. I mean really a hot new artist she deserves no disrespect. Let the babe alone.

Ha ha ha ha can't sing? Are you serious...pay attention! She is a classically trained singer, I am a singer myself and I know what talent is, I grew up in the biz. She may be an odd character but she is an ENTERTIANER no doubt about it. Listen to her live...she doesn't lip sync and her voice is nearly flawless despite the fact she is dancing and putting on a full show. Please don't talk about talent if you don't know what it is.

Lady GaGa has talent... in today's world, where miley cyrus and taylor swift are also considered talented. What happened to soul, to real emotion, to feeling and art in music? She doesn't have it... she has classical singing training, yes, but anyone can train. What happened to passion... I'm so sick of hearing about these broads with the depth of a paper plate. Give me something real, dammit.

Have you seen ANY of her videos? She puts her heart and soul into everything! Have you seen ANY of her interviews. Maybe you should think before you make that kind of judgement.
The times are a'changin, I can see. "Declined", if that's what you think heart and soul is about, that's fine. Everyone is entitled to their own judgements, as am I.. and in my eyes, there is nothing behind her work. She's an object being sold to the masses, that's all.

Lady Gaga has so much passion, and that is why I love what she does. When she sings her songs, in a way she "acts" them with her voice, interprets them. She can sing in many different ways, depending on the "character" of the song. Her piano skills are out of this world. She does sing fun pop music, but her cheeky sense of humor keeps them from being anything but average. Her performances are fearless, and I find her endlessly entertaining. Thank goodness for Lady Gaga and her inventivness and courage...I have been so bored for so long from everything else on the radio! (Usually I prefer bands like TV on the Radio, The Kills, etc.)

I long for music from singers from whom you can understand the words...There are few if these.
Like an Elvis or a Garth Brooks that will have any lasting power 10 years from now..GaGa and her cronies are nothing but bubble gum trash that is an embarassment to the world.

She's the new Genie in the bottle act that's going for that world wide attention, respect, love(crap)before she pulls her BIG media circus event (sponsored by the enquirer & every other 2bit paying her off now & making her a star to cover on their mags as a used up trash ho). Then they'll scrap Kansas for the next act to rise & crush, great page 10!

I realize that lots of folks don't like Lady Gaga. Certainly your right. I dismissed her just because of her image, myself- before I saw her perform. However, there are three inescapable facts. 1) She can sing. 2) She can dance. 3) She is a born performer.
I was impressed when I expected not to be. Not saying that anyone has to like her- I haven't run out and purchased her CD- but she is a talent worthy of respect. Much more than much of what is out there.
