Maksim or Karina? One's Out on 'DWTS'

Well hello there, you fabulous gossip lovers! In the PopEater premiere of Rob Shuter's 'Naughty But Nice' column, we've got a doozy. It turns out that all of the extracurricular activity between 'Dancing With the Stars' pros Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smiroff is causing the show's producers to stumble -- and one of them is likely getting the boot because of it. Who will it be??? That, and other tasty items after the jump!

Maksim or Karina? 'DWTS' Is Deciding

It looks like all the personal drama between Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff -- who broke off the engagement in September -- has finally cha-cha-cha'd it's way on to the dance floor, potentially forcing 'Dancing With The Stars' to decide which one of their loose-legged dancers they want most. "It's really gotten ugly between the two of them since the spit," a friend of the chest-waxing dancer (you guess which one) told me. Maks himself admitted to PopEater that he doesn't talk to Karina at all anymore, saying "I've got to thank her for being a great instructor in the lesson of what not to look for in a woman." Zing! We'll give that insult a 9 for technical difficulty.

Adding to the 'pick him or her' rumors is Karina's noticeable absence from the Broadway show 'Burn The Floor,' which once starred the two of them busting out some very sexy moves. "Maksim wouldn't have returned to the show if the producers had insisted on him dancing with Karina," said a theatre insider, adding that "the same will be true for the new season of 'DWTS.' All the feathers and sequins in the world wouldn't be able to cover the bad feeling between those two."

Lets hope Maksim and Karina master the peace dance before ABC is forced to play pick the hottie. And remember everyone, work romances always end in tears -- so sorry, PopEater colleagues, I'm just not interested!

Heidi and Seal Say Auf Wiedersehen to Huge Baby Payday

Selling baby photos is apparently soooo 2008 for Heidi Klum and Seal. The world's first glimpse at the couple's adorable little daughter, Lou, occurred a few days ago on Seal's Web site after everyone's favorite top model passed on offers reaching over $300,000 from various weekly magazines. "Heidi would never sell pictures of her baby. The whole concept of making money off her kids totally grosses her out," revealed a friend about the sexy star.

Angelina Jolie broke records when she got $12 million for images of her little duo (Full disclosure: She gave the money to charity) and Jennifer Lopez raked in $6 million for her twins (Jenny From the Block kept that paycheck).

But the ever-gorgeous Heidi let us see her precious baby for free, which either makes her the smartest person in the world or the least business-savvy model ever for ditching a boatload of cash. You decide.

A-Rod Jealous of Jeter?

Every New Yorker is celebrating Derek Jeter's 2009 Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year cover with the exception of one: Alex Rodriguez. "A-Rod can't understand why he isn't on the cover," laughed an insider. "Everyone is congratulating Derek saying how much he deserves the honor while Alex is pretending the magazine doesn't exist." Which probably isn't that surprising, considering the self-absorbed slugger is rumored to have two pictures of himself as a centaur above his bed!

Don't sweat it, Alex! You may not have the SI cover, but you've got Kate Hudson, and millions of people (cough cough us!) are jealous of that.

Maksim with get the boot, since its "discriminatory" to fire the woman and not the man in these cases. Maks is the CLEARLY better dancer, coreographer and instructor, but it doesn't matter. Karina would sue and win if they give her the ax. Just more legal "justice"...

I can't imagine them NOT keeping Maks. He's a HUGE draw for them and a few years back when he took a season off they had him do a ton of interviews to assure people he was just taking a break, not leaving the show. Plus he's just more popular with the general public and the other dancers than Karina. And he's been more successful on the show. Karina's already pretty unpopular, if they axe Maks in order to keep her on, it would be a PR nightmare.

they usually give her losers for partners anyways so why bother keeping her? i dont mind her but if i had to choose it would be him not her to stay

Yummy Maxim for sure. We have to have someone good to look at within the male gender. Let's face it, the bulk of the men dancers are not that "pretty". Edita's hubby, maybe, but Maxim is perfect. I would put him second only to Gilles Marini....AND I'd match Max up in the pros dancing with Cheryl Burke. Now, she's a dancer!

They both have overblown egos. It would have been shocking if this romance had NOT blown up. A shame they are so unprofessional as to let their personal problems affect their jobs. If one must go, I'd vote Karina. I'm sick of her rumored affairs with every celebrity partner. I've learned to accept Maks's arrogance as a basic part of his personality,but Dimitry is hunkier if they want to just dump them both

Karina should go. She knew Maksim for 15 years before their engagement. He was no mystery to her. Yet she "suddenly" realized he was hot and let his longstanding crush bloom into yet another hookup for her. She was showing Mario L she still had it, and now, just a couple weeks after her split with Maks, she's hooking up (on camera) with sleazy Brad Penny -- smashing faces in a bar. She uses men like shoes. Who wants such a drama queen? Maks is funny, charming, makes the set just giggle with fun and good dancing. GIVE HIM A GOOD PARTNER and keep him!!! Buh bye Karina.

They're both excellent dancers but, if hostility keeps them from performing properly, I'd keep Max over Karina.

Karina should go. This woman has a real problem with men. She dated Mario Lopez for a while and they broke up. She dated Maksim and got engaged then dumped him. She can't seem to stay in any relationship once it gets serious. This woman definitely has issues! she needs professional help.

Karina is the BEST dancer on the show. Max is the best guy dancer, and too bad they can't be professional and just do their job without all the BS from the engagement breakup.

Met them both when they were in NY in Burn the Floor,,,,the both seemed very nice and my daughter just loved Maks. Unfortunately, things happen in relationships, too bad they just can't leave personal feelings aside and both continue
