Sex and the City' star do it?

Having new twins: "It's been amazing but complicated because of my current work schedule, which I have enormous regrets about."
How she wants her kids to grow up: "I don't want my children to feel they have a sense of entitlement. I want them to work hard and be challenged."
Relationship advice: "When you are younger, you get swept away by grand gestures. ... When you have children and years invested, it's much more complicated. It's the day-to-day stuff; the kind of parent you are, the kind of partner you are. It's the little and big things as opposed to just the big things."

She needs to stop using her celebrity credentials to force her way onto the cover of fashion magazines when there are more worthy professional models available.

You can't FORCE your way onto magazines... you are chosen, hand-picked, selected. THEY like her. She goes to fashion shows and buys and wears those fashions and the fashion world loves and rewards her for it. Maxim's magazine voted her least sexy celebrity female, I bet that's one magazine she didn't want to be on.
WHEN YOU HAVE CHILDREN, IT'S TIME TO PUT YOUR BIG OLE EGO-CENTRIC SELF ON THE BACK BURNER FOR 20 YEARS OR SO... IF YOU TRULY WANT TO BE A GOOD PARENT, THAT IS.

That sort of reflects a double standard. There are plenty of male entertainers that have very active careers while they have toddlers and preschool age children. Why does the mother get so much flak for doing the same thing.
MATT NYC....LET ME SAY THIS CLEARLY....YOU MY DEAR SIR ARE AN ASS TO THE MAX. Men don't worry about that. They leave it up to the "little woman" to stay home and be cheated on and taken for granted. Go to H...E....double toothpicks. I HOPE YOU ARE SINGLE AND DON'T PLAN TO MARRY!
Bridget, my response to this article on Ms. Parker wasn't meant for mothers only. My intention was for ALL parents... and my "ego-centric" reference applies to all parents too, not just celebrities.
Matt....I think you were very clear on your statement. It did not reflect as to a Mother or Father, but to either with a so called "Celebrity" status.
As for how Carol took your statement....seems to me that maybe she was taking out a failed relationship on your opinion.
Nobody's opinion is ever WRONG, it's an opinion. Just because someones opinion does not reflect yours, does not make them wrong.
It's called "A difference of opinion" for a reason Carol!
How does she do it? Hmm....Let's see. She hires a woman to have her twins forget about just taking the time to have your own kid. Then she pay's to have not just one but 2 to boot. We should all be so lucky to Juggle motherhood and career. Doesn't want her kids to have a sense of entitlement? Oh but it's okay for her to be so obsessed with herself that she paid someone to birth her 2 daughters for her because she has money. "The kind of parent you are". Wow. That will be something her daughters will be proud of.

That about sums it up. She also now claims to regret having to work while the twins are so young. I guess she didn't think that part through when she accepted making another Sex in the City movie and knoing the babies would be born during that time frame.
Always remember, money can't buy happiness but it can buy expensive nannies to raise your children.
You forgot to mention she has nannies. Show me someone in showbiz, that doesn't have outside help.
In vitro fertilization is legal. She is unable to carry children to term for whatever PERSONAL reasons and wanted to expand her family. What is wrong with that? Mind you, I've never watched one episode of her tv shows, saw her movies and don't think she is attractive enough to be on the cover of a magazine, but my husband thinks she is fabulous. No matter how much help you may have along the way, I don't think any parent ever thinks they are good enough or do enough because of the delicate balancing act.
Quit ripping into this celebrity for expressing that she is human.
OMG could you be any more judgemental. I have PCOS and paid someone to have my child because it was physically and emotionally exhausting to try any longer, the shots, the mood swings, the constant disappointment. Did you ever think that there is such a gap between their children because they tried? Get off of your high horse, stop judging people as I was judged when I brought home my son, and didn't "have to work for him" in other people's eyes. If you don't know the whole story, don't judge! This country is full of he judgemental!
Oh, shut up.

I agree. Sarah Jessica Parker can carry a child. Her uterus is the same as it was back when she had her first kid. This time it conflicted with making a movie (and wads of cash)
The nannies raise the kids... Who is she kidding?
The normal family, the parents raise the kids, care for their needs, etc... She pays someone to be there...And in no time the children are grown and are they close to the parents? No... and the parents wonder why...

Right because daycare is not popular at all with everyday people.
Balance! Really? Your so rich you don't have to work. Stay at home and raise your damn kids. True mothers have to do it everyday. Give me a break! Rich people are so out of touch. I've have to get my picture taken, what will I do with my little adopted child !....woa is me!

Why does this "dog faced" ego freak get so much press? I really do not get it. I don't know a single guy who thinks she is good looking. I don't know anyone who thinks she is a good actress. Now, I don't know anyone who thinks she is a great mom.

MATT NYC...... I agree with you 100% !!!! I gave up everything for 20 years to raise my daughter. She is now successful, happy, and a very well-adjusted adult!!! (P.S. I did it alone. Her father left while I was carrying her.) You are sooooo correct!
