ABC Nixes Two More Adam Lambert Gigs

Adam Lambert's scandalous American Music Awards performance is still wreaking havoc on his schedule, as the ex-'American Idol' star says he's been canned from two future ABC performances, including one on New Year's Eve. In a Twitter post, Lambert told his fans "Yes, sadly friends, ABC has cancelled my appearances on Kimmel and NYE. :( don't blame them. It's the FCC heat."

Aside from his reference to 'Jimmy Kimmel Live,' Lambert it likely referring to Dick Clark's 'New Year's Rockin' Eve,' which has established itself as perhaps the premiere place to be for celebs when the ball drops.

Lambert says that he's "lookin into something for NYE," and that he's still "doing Leno," which is broadcast on NBC.

All of the uproar was caused by Lambert's racy and sexually-charged AMA performance, in which he thrusted his crotch into a dancer's face, dragged two male dancers around on a leash and engaged in a makeout session with his male keyboardist. Thanks to thousands of complaints they received, ABC quickly canceled Lambert's performance on 'Good Morning America' that same week.Disney/ABC Television Group President Anne Sweeney recently said.

Used to love him - now think he's trash. Too bad Adam - your true colors have ended your career. Perhaps a carwash or gas station is hiring in your area of town. You've lost everyone one even your own "family" you don't even have us anymore. Kim, you need to get a life. You don't know anything about the support that Adam is getting from his "TRUE" fans. I do not believe that he ended is career b/c of one performance. He has already sold 200,000 copies of FYE in the first week of it being out, so you don't have a clue what you are talking about. Who gives you the right to be judgemental about someone else. I mean seriously what kind of life do you live? Loser! Maybe you're kids if you have any will turn out to be gay and will have to deal with discrimination from people like you!

@Enough Already, he didn't say "don't blame me". He said "don't blame them" referring to ABC, in regards to them cancelling his gigs. He's trying to tell his fans to not lash out against ABC because their hands are tied, by the FCC.

Adam is a nice young man, it seems. But his act was obnoxious to put it nice. I dont care if someone is gay, but dont put it in my face, or anyones while on national tv. We dont want to watch any man, make out with another one. And the face to crotch thing,,,,OVER BOARD on so many levels. They say any publicity, is good,, I dont think so. He needs to get a job on a cruise ship, or a gay club. Most of America dont want to see that on tv, or any where.

I agree. I believe Adam should focus on his audiences and act appropriately. If he is at a Gay Club and that is what they like, then that is where it should be left. He was decent on American Idol and that is what we expected from him on broadcast television. Granted he can sing,
but he needs to keep it clean and realize that most people do not enjoy watching gay acts.

What a gross statement. This is the problem with this country. expressing his sexuality is not inappropriate. female artists have long blurred the sexuality lines just simply to sell records.
I'm sorry but i believe in being who you are. if you are gay you are allowed to be so. you should not be relegated to a gay club and thats it.
I say Adam put on what ever show you want to. Express yourself creatively. Madonna has been doing it for years and is just as popular as ever... she even released a sex book filled with lesbian liaisons.
I was never an Adam Lampert fan before, Ive actually never even seen an episode of American Idol. But I'm proud of him for going against the grain and being himself.

Let's get one thing clear, many people are not phased by it and to Cindy Clark, what 'gay acts'? It's two men kissing. Kissing is a natural human thing, be it between two men or a woman or man.
