Short and to the point - I AM SICK OF ABC AND THEIR CRAP!! THEY ARE DECIDING WHAT I CAN AND CAN'T SEE IN MY OWN HOME! THEY KNOW THAT ADAM IS NOT GOING TO PERFORM LIKE THAT AGAIN AND RISK IT...SO LEAVE HIM THE HELL ALONE! I WANT TO SEE ADAM SING...BESIDES HE CAN NEVER PROVE ANY DIFFERENT IF THEY KEEP CANCELLING ALL OF HIS PERFORMANCES ON THEIR RIGHT WING, ULTRA CONSERVATIVE NETWORK!!! GIVE IT UP AND WORRY ABOUT SOMETHING THAT REALLY MATTERS AND HAS A DIRECT EFFECT ON PEOPLE'S LIVES!!!!

He embarrassed ABC! That should be enough for them to be upset. I really doubt that they knew how "raunchy" his performance would be. They DID promote it as "something to talk about" but the question is, how much did they really know? I seem to think they were surprised and now they are trying to backtrack.

Roy, of course nobody was 'made' to watch anything and could have changed the channel, but by the time they had a chance to change it they would have already wittnessed a man with his face in another mans crotch. Adam deserved what he is getting and maybe it will teach him something about the FCC rules. He is young and new at this so he will learn. Gayness is not the problem, just dont make a fool of yourself because of it. Dont care if your gay, just dont want to wittness it.

It's too bad that Adam let his funky side get the better of him - his performance on the AMAs was totally out of line. He is a great singer and performer but has initially done some serious damage to his career. I'm sure it will blow over but I hope he is not always known for his sexy outrageous performance on the AMAs rather than his talent. I did he's going to learn a very big lesson when this blows over (if it does!)

this kid is a hoot. the network is crazy to cut him.
if they was smart, they'd hand out sacks of tomatoes and oranges and have the audience hurl them at him as he was doing that itchy butt dance act. his singing is basically a boy george/ michael jackson rip off except for the fact that those creatures had talent. i really tink the act needs the tomatoes hitting him and that band of nut pies as they slather and slobber on each other.
jackson's family should sue if he keeps grabbing his genesis. dat was mikey's gig and anybody else is just a punk. tomatoes is the answer.

I am old enough to remember a very shaky voiced, deer-in-the-headlights looking, Madonna's first performance on the VMA's. She came out in a corset, rolled around on the floor, and simulated a sexual move while on her knees. And I remember Michael Jackson and his first ever crotch grab dance move. At the time, everyone was shocked at those performances and just look where they've led us. People may have been shocked, but it only spurred the entertainment industry to find new ways to be even more shocking. I am a fan on Adam's. He is incredibly talented, but I didn't like the performance. I think he is so much better than that performance. I prefer the rendition of FYE on his CD. He was obviously nervous, and being last, had to try to top Lady Gaga and the Black Eyed Peas. We can't put all the blame on Adam, although I think he's owning up to the lapse in judgement rather nicely. It's society's fault because if we continue to accept overtly sexual and/or profanity laced performances on TV it will only get worse.

The public is a good system that holds musicians accountable to uphold the values of decency, dignity and respect. They do the same thing when rock or rap artists act inappropriately too. The point: It is not because Adam is gay that he is being chastized. It is simply because he lost all track of decency, dignity and respect. Gay or heterosexual, we don't like to see that on TV.

Ljaw- Children should not have been up at 11 PM on a Sunday night! And anyone that didn't want to watch him need only change the channel. If you would, please google his appearances on Ellen Degeneres and David Letterman. What you will see is a polite young man with an enormous amount of talent.So let's see - one " lewd" performance out of many should not color anyone's opinion forever.
And btw, I am a 52 year old heterosexual female so you can throw the argument that only his "gay" fan base will stick with him.

Lambert went over the line. There is one thing watching a show and figuring you are going to see something pushing the limits. It wouldn't have made near enough noise on MTV. The thing is this was a family type show and people weren't expecting explicit sexuality. Lambert still had his AI persona going which was edgy but not overt in your face. That's what irritated people that he went over the top on this show. And it wasn't just the FCC but ABC because otherwise he wouldn't be on other channels. Like I said if it was MTV no one would have cared.

It's a double standard. Madonna has been getting away with the same type of antics for years. I think Adam is doing a great job, he's a performer and if he's not your cup of tea, move on.
