"I've never been a baby person; babies always scared me," Reyes told Pregnancy magazine in June. "I've always been afraid to drop them or hurt them."
The actress added, "I hope that she has perspective, a good sense of humor, patience, perseverance, and that she really just hangs in there to do what she's passionate about. And has a dazzling smile like her mom!"

I hope the baby is okay. I wonder why these celebrities wait so late. You are not immune to birth deformities associated with older moms, you know.

Another old mom at 42

Why in the world would anyone want kids? I raised mine alone and tried to provide as best as I could. I bailed them out of jail and paid their fines and accidents only to be left alone and they don't think I did enough for them. Anyone who would want a kid now a days must be mentally deranged.

Beautiful name for the little one.

Way tooooooooooooo old to just start out having babies. She will be old enough for social security when the child is in college. Oh well, when you have money you can get your nannies & housekeepers to do all the strenuous work and what ever else, ball games, cheerleading, etc. LOL.

Too old for a baby? Baby must be being raised by nannies? Wow! You people are really out of touch! I gave birth three times in my 20's, and three times in my 40's--all normal, healthy pregnancies, natural deliveries, and healthy babies. It's not unusual at all! Nor is it more dangerous--that's just what some medical "professionals" say to scare us into depending on them for our care. THEY CREATE the emergencies. Young women have risky pregnancies and babies with birth defects, just as older moms do. I have three (adopted) with Down Syndrome. Our group took a survey once. NINETY PERCENT of the birth moms of kids with DS were in their 20's. So much for statistics. I hope this woman puts her career on hold for a while, to stay home and enjoy the child she waited so long to have. They both deserve it! My husband and I are raising our six still at home by ourselves, without outside help. We are 51 and 63 now, and our youngest is 3. We are LOVING this! More people should enjoy their families like we do, no matter what the age!
