Tony Shalhoub unveiled his caricature in New York City at the Palm but there was something wrong with it.
If you look closely, the 'Monk' star's name is misspelled as Shaloub, without the "h."

That's not a caricature--it's more like a rendering or drawing. A caricature, like you can have done at theme parks or other vacation spots, exaggerate or distort a feature. This is just simply a painted portrait of the actor.
What are the job qualifications needed to write simple headlines... geesh!

You are so correct! That is a drawing or painting. It is NOT a caricature!!!! A caricature would have likely emphasized his hair or some such feature. It is simply a very good portrait.
I doubt Tony Shalhoub really cares that the "h" was left out......he's laughing all the way to the bank.
And this is news?!?!
OK, Tammy, you are an Art Expert? Good for you. Tony Shalhoub has been around a while. Does anyone remember the role he played in "Paulie". The little girl got famous because of a Pepsi ad she did immediately following; But that movie got the kid rolling. I'm he is a better actor than you are an art critic.
Yeah...I agree. In fact this alledged caricature actually makes him look better!!
Exactly;;;Just another stupid woman ( affirmation action Job ) Trying to suck up to the boss for more money--so S M A R T wooo eeeee
I don't really know what it takes to be a writer, but it couldn't be too hard. Besides, it was not the writers but Tony, who put the brakes on!
thank you, exactly.
Right on; and who really gives a hoot in Hades that the poor guy's name was mis-spelled, or, for that matter...........that the 'rendering' was there in the first place. If someone needs to know what 'charicature's' are, go to Sardi's. That's where it all began........before they ever thought of starting a 'Palm'. There are Palms in most major city's I have visited and they are all doing it. I Haven't seen any of them drawn as is portrayed in the photograph.
I'm just one of multitude millions that dearly love watching Tony Shalhoub perform in "Monk."
He is a great versatile actor, and surely we'll be looking for more entertaining roles in the future now that the series has ended. Very few people have talents like his that will endure forever.

I'M NOT A TV HOUND, BUT I WOULD ALWAYS BE HOME ON FRIDAY TO CATCH THE MONK SERIES. DON'T KNOW WHAT I'LL DO NOW. I ALMOST STARTED TO WEEP WHEN THE PROGRAM WENT OFF THE AIR. SINCE HIS DAYS ON "WINGS", I KNEW HE WAS QUITE THE PERFORMER. PLEASE SAY IT WAS A DREAM, AND HE'LL BE ON AGAIN AS "MONK" NEXT FRIDAY.
leave Tony alone he's great
I have always liked Tony Shalhoub and his Monk character but, like Columbo, the idiosyncracies of Monk were beginning to wear thin and probably that is the reason the show was slated to end--on a high note instead of waiting for the clock to wind down.
I Love Tony Shalhoub's Monk,I'm going to miss this show

We will certainly miss "MONK" on Fridays. What a treat Tony Shalhoub he has been.Hoping to see him back in something new in the future. It is worth noting though that "MONK" was not cut. They chose to end the show.Big difference.
Tony Shalhoub wanted to end the show. That's why it ended!!!
They didn't end it. He did. He gave a statement that he thought seven years was long enough. I guess he got tired of it.
