Amy Adams Expecting a Baby

There's a baby on the way for actress Amy Adams and her fiance Darren Legallo, PEOPLE is reporting. The couple, who have been together for seven years, got engaged over the summer.

The 35-year-old Adams, who stunned audiences with her roles in 'Enchanted' and most recently in the Julia Childs-related film 'Julie & Julia' is set to appear in the romantic comedy 'Leap Year' in early January.

Legallo and Adams met in 2001 while they were both taking the same acting class.

Adams has twice been nominated for an Oscar. Last year, she scored a nomination for her supporting role in 'Doubt), and in 2006 she earned a nod in the same category for 'Junebug.

Hey Cara, News Flash! That "piece of paper" DOES mean something. Without it women are the loosers-BIG TIME. Take it from one who knows. You need that "piece of paper"! Check your state laws and see what rights you have without it-it's a good thing to know before you shack up with some guy and start having his kids.

Hey Wendell,

Wendell, don't worry, I totally agree with you. Although these celebrities have all this money, I am sick and tired of the media putting them in the news when they (the celebrities) are having children out of wedlock. Although the children were produced and born out of an act of love, and at no fault of their own but their unmarried parents, the children are known as bastard children. It's not like these celebrities cannot afford any of the contraception methods that are available. It's so refershing to hear when married celebrities are having children.

What a bunch of judgemental prigs! Nowhere in this article does it say that the couple aren't planning to marry. In fact it says that they are engaged! I'm sure they are both really disappointed that they didn't time the conception of their child to meet the standards of a bunch of prudish folks they don't know. It would be interesting to know how many of you ,that are so judgemental of others, were conceived out of wedlock( and called "premature") and how many of you had shotgun weddings --so people wouldn't think that (God forbid!) you were having sex without being married. Live your lives your way and stop telling others how to live theirs.

It is wonderfull she's having the baby! She's with the father they have been together for years. She's having the baby and not doing something horrible about it that you would not hear about. She's getting married and it will be born in a union of their family. Because of the unfortunate (if that's your problem) timing that she became pregnant before the marriage, she'll be married to the father and they will have a family. Some families never can plan when they might have a child. That timing is sometime's done without our total control. This is not the problem with the U.S. If you think that, you must live with a cover over your head. There are issues that are much more negitive and destructive in our country and this is'nt one of them. Having a child is a beautifull thing!
