Donald Faison: 'I Could See Myself Playing Tiger'
Donald Faison first won our hearts as Murray in 'Clueless' and for close to a decade he's been Turk on the hit medical comedy 'Scrubs.' Aside from his general television success, Faison popped into our minds recently when
we cast him to play Tiger Woods in the sure-to-be-made TV movie about the ongoing sex scanal. So, PopEater was able to catch up with Faison, who called from the 'Scrubs' set where he routinely puts in 12-hour days, to chat about the show, his personal life, why he's a "blerd" and yes, the possibility of playing Mr. Tiger Woods.
So how many years has 'Scrubs' been on? 23 or 24?
Something like that. Actually it's been 9 years, which is awesome. If we go 20 more years, I think we'll be the longest running TV show.
So not all that long to go.
It's just that 'The Simpsons' are so far ahead of us.
You and Zach Braff hate each other, right?
Yeah, I don't like him. He's a mean guy. Frankly he doesn't like black people. I'm joking! He's great, he's my best friend.
You're pals on and off the set, right?
We hang out all the time, on the weekends, when we haven't worked for months. We go on holidays together. We've been to St. Barts; we lived in New York together for a summer, Miami, a bunch of places. We are as close to homosexuality as you can get without being gay, that's what we are.
I have a theory on the secret of your success: Your dimples.
My dimples! My brother's dimples are so much better than mine. He has dents in his face. I've just got old man wrinkle lines.
Are you still dating Cacee Cobb?
Yes I am.
She's best friends with Jessica Simpson. Can you help set her up?
Ah, I'm going to be honest with you. I try to stay out of her dating life as much as I possibly can. That's none of my business.

PopEater cast you as Tiger Woods in their dream Tiger Woods movie. Any thoughts there?
That concerns me.
It's not like that. It's because we'd would like to see you in a dramatic role.
Oh that's what they're saying. I could see myself playing Tiger. I guess it is a drama now isn't it?
It sure is. Have you ever watched the show 'Cheaters?'
I love that show! It's the best. I like it when the girls get busted. That's better.
Why?
For some reason nobody has any sympathy for the dudes. Everybody is always like, 'Oh man, she didn't deserve that. Why did that have to happen to her?' But when it happens to a dude nobody talks about it. It's like, 'He's a dude, he'll bounce back.'
That show and 'Ninja Warrior.' I just love watching people falling. It's funny.
Any other shows you watch?
I still watch 'Heroes.' It's not the hippest show on TV. It's sort of geared towards people like myself. Blerds.
What is a blerd?
A black nerd. I'm a huge blerd.
What makes a blerd?
Somebody who's really into comics. Somebody who's watched 'The Empire Strikes Back' 400 times, someone who still plays D&D with his buddies back home, and then has to be black.
Well, yeah, otherwise you're just a nerd.
Exactly.

Why even interview this piece of nothing? Of course he wants to play him, they both date only dogs. Self-haters.

why would anymore pick that jackass to play tiger woods, hes got that big ass mole on his top lip

The dust hasn't even begun to settle and everyone wants to cash in on Tiger and Elin. Pathetic.
why is he a self hater? why is tiger? because they date good looking white women? I am sure they have both dated good looking black women also.

Why do you have to drag black women in to this disaster? It seems like when the mess hits the fan people with anger and hate want to spread around as much as possible on everyone else. Why don't you stick to the the point? Until you have met every black woman on the planet you are not really in a position to judge. Personally I would think any black woman with class would not be interested in Tiger romantically. I'm not! I could care less how much money he has.
I hope that white ass thrash nannie that he married take him for all he is worth .. and top off that the nasty ass waitresses that he can only relate to gave him some std's.. dirty sellouts.. as for that Faison.. he should be able to play him well.. after all he is too a sellout....

Donald Faison as Tiger Woods? I can actually see that but the man will have to go to a deep, hated place in his heart to have the evil eye Tiger shows. Look at him-for real I mean-even when TW is smiling, it never makes it into his eyes like in normal folks. But again-since it's just acting? Yeah, I DO think Faison could pull it off, quite well!

I agree with all you Sisters who are upset that Tiger married outside his race. He should have married a nice Japanese girl.

He does not look like Tiger to play the part!
Tiger has Asian eyes and buck teeth.

Tiger could of found a poor white bride to beat his hide right here, buy USA!

Too bad we aren't reading about an actor wanting to play the role of Tiger as great golfer and decent man. Sure we have all made mistakes, but if Tiger has been fooling around with as many women as we are hearing from and during his marriage while his wife was pregnant with at least one of their two children, then he is seriously messed up.

At least he used the word "black" instead of the "african american" bullsh*t.
Reply
Wow! you just hate that
African-American
swagger don't you. I know the culture is rich and smooth and you can't stand it you
bigot! African-American is a badge of honor and rich culture. A mixture of African blood and
Western civilization and you can't stand it you idiot!
Wouldn't any movie about Tiger have to have his okay or run the risk of a mountain of lawsuits? hasn't he done something to prevent anyone from using his name or likeness without his consent?

I'm really not all that intrigued with Tiger or Donald and penchants for white woman. I actually know Donald and his family. Let me just say that nut doesn't fall far from the tree...

Please, D, Please don't play Tiger. Death to your career. And do you really want to be known as "that guy who was that cheating golfer"? Ew. Stay away. BTW, a GOLF movie? Um, did anyone see that one with Will Smith? Or that one with Shia? What were they? Um, The Greatest Game Ever Played, I think, and The Legend of Bagger Vance. Horrible, horrible. Don't forget, D, don't forget.

You Buffoon - you are better suited to play George Jefferson.
