ABC Reconciles With Adam Lambert

'American Idol' runner-up Adam Lambert landed in trouble for locking lips on ABC, with his controversial same-sex kiss on the recent AMA broadcast. This time he's smooching the network itself, as ABC plays a little kiss-and-make-up with Lambert following the singer's dismissal from multiple ABC appearances. PEOPLE is reporting that Lambert will appear on 'The View' Thursday.

Lambert's provocative performance on the American Music Awards - in which he thrust his crotch into a dancer's face, dragged two male dancers around on a leash and engaged in a makeout session with his male keyboardist - preceded the singer's dismissal from 'Good Morning America' and the New Year's Eve episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live.'

In a Twitter post last week, Lambert told his fans "Yes, sadly friends, ABC has cancelled my appearances on Kimmel and NYE. :( don't blame them. It's the FCC heat." As PopEater pointed out in an earlier post, the FCC does not regulate programming after 10 o'clock, meaning the 'Kimmel' performance would not have faced any scrutiny from the government regulatory office.

Lambert's visit to the ladies of 'The View' will be pre-taped - ABC can rest assured there will be no on-air shocks from the edgy performer. The appearance airs a day after he is honored by 'View' panelist Barbara Walters on her '10 Most Fascinating People of 2009' special, also on ABC.

BTW Adam isn't going anywhere anytime soon...he has way too many fans that are just not going to let it happen. It's very obvious that we got our voice heard. Adam is not a beautiful person. Adam suffers from a mental and emotional disease called homosexuality that likes to boast of itself. I refuse to have his illness forced down my throat. The only reason why ABC executives changed their minds is because the ACLU was about to get involved in Adams defense. ACLU, the only institution that defends everything but the Christian viewpoint and defends everything against it.

I laugh at this type of critique. Imagine a world where we all liked the same music...Would we all then listen to the same artist?Probably ,because why would we need any variety? To take it to it's extreme, would we all then listen to just one song? Surely there's room in the world for all tastes and we must feel sorry for those who are so narrow in their view. I'm glad I don't live their life. I love Adam's album, and I'm an Elvis girl from way back.

Adam is NOT original. He can hit the notes but his music is just the same old cookie cutter crap. He has to do something 'shocking' (which is not original either) just to keep people talking about him. The kids love it because they have no sense and have been indoctrinated that bad=good. I loved Adam on American Idol...He was awesome and the best talent by far. We saw him on the tour, and it was obvious that the majority of the people were there to see him, including me, my daughter, my son and his girlfriend, and a friend and her daughter. I was so excited that he was going to be the closer for the AMA's. Do I think he went a little over the top? Yes I think he should have toned it down...but just like he, and others have said... Lots of entertainers have been shocking us for years...and they are still major talents, and they are still entertaining us to this day!! Give him a break, he got caught up in all the excitement..And yes I will go see him when he goes on his solo tour
