Rihanna was the guest musician on the latest episode of 'Saturday Night Live,' and while her hilarious appearance in a digital short with Andy Samberg was a highlight of our week, it was another sketch that gave us pause. Host Blake Lively played Elin Nordegren Woods in a segment lampooning the model's marriage to scandalized golfer Tiger Woods. The skit focused on allegations that Elin beat her husband with a golf club after learning of his infidelity. We think, had the genders been reversed, 'SNL' wouldn't make light of the potentially violent situation - and with Rihanna on board, we wonder if a domestic violence gag was in especially poor taste. Would any one care if he was straight and did something similar?
right? had he have not been screwing around on her then there would be nothing for "snl" to poke fun at
Who can feel sorry for an African American boy who can't keep his pecker in his pants and thinks he can do as he pleases since he is a big "hero:......didn't we have another black man who thought the same thing and is in jail somewherhe.....like Nevada????
I thought it was funny too! laughing is good for the soul
i thought this was a hysterical skit..keep up the great work SNL! We have to be able to laugh at ourselves....I want to know what David Letterman had to say but haven't looked that up yet...tee hee
i should be so lucky as to score fine Ho butt like Tiger does.
thats right u out there take it like a wuss
Poor tiger woods he gets caught and now no one can kid him if it would of been anyone else with out money they would of been arrested for domestic.
African American?? He's Asian, not black..... I guess people call him "African American" because his skin is black. Interesting since he has much more asian blood.
One of the funniest things on SNL since Tina Fey stopped writing the show. When she left, SNL went down the tubes. They need more skits like this to get the audience back
skit "Under Fire" by whom? a couple of crack journalists at AOL? Thats hardly under fire, and you people overestimate yourselves.
Please report news, instead of making it up.
SNL shreds everybody to pieces. That's what they do! If you don't get that then don't watch it. Everybody is fair game to them. They torn Palin to pieces and even now (finally) they are poking fun at Obama. No one is above it. Take all your "politically correct" thinking and throw it out the window when you watch SNL. And get a sense of humor!
Jokes!!! not real... calm down
tiger wood just a star of golfer and sound like movie star i support tiger wood his private life just leave them alone everyone make mistake we know it just nt need ask him abt life because of this famous he is same as us people need stop media assume too much
Well, I live in Florida and supposedly there is a ZERO TOLERANCE law against ANY kind of domestic violence here. So why isn't this woman in jail??? Charges do not have to be filed in order to be taken to jail here for domestic violence. So ... it appears to me that the zero tolerance rule only applies if people have zero money. Go figure...
Would it still have been funny if your sister were portrayed with a golf club up side her head???
Its funny how everybody can make stupid fun of Sara Palin but oh my gosh to make fun of a tiger boy appears to be a no no
Lighten up...it was hilarious! It's about time SNL started spoofing EVERYONE -- not just Bush and Cheney and Palin. I was about ready to give up on the show -- maybe they've taken the hint from the public that everyone -- all celebrities -- are fodder for mockery. And, perhaps, this will even add that extra support for Rihanna...knowing how other folks view this sort of thing may make it easier for her to stay away from her own abuser.
You will notice that the author of this article didn't have the balls to put his or her name to it. It just lists the author as: "Popeater Staff". That in itself is a pure sign that the individual doesn't deserve the right to be a so-called journalist, and definitely not the right to post here!
This skit on SNL was about as perfect as perfect gets! It was right on topic, and had millions laughing out loud, myself being one of the millions that enjoyed it. This is what SNL does. They super-size an issue in order to lampoon it, and they always make sure that you know they are playing a bit and NOT trying to be factual. Anyone that can't see this, should not be watching the program, and definitely should not be writing about it.
Note to the author: GROW A SET, and go buy a sense of humor! You are in dire need...
Except for Tina Fey appearances, 'SNL'has been gone for years
Tiger deserves all that's being thrown at him. No wonder he has had such a "private" life all these years!
