'SNL' Lampoons Alleged Violence in Tiger Woods' Marriage

Rihanna was the guest musician on the latest episode of 'Saturday Night Live,' and while her hilarious appearance in a digital short with Andy Samberg was a highlight of our week, it was another sketch that gave us pause. Host Blake Lively played Elin Nordegren Woods in a segment lampooning the model's marriage to scandalized golfer Tiger Woods. The skit focused on allegations that Elin beat her husband with a golf club after learning of his infidelity.

We think, had the genders been reversed, 'SNL' wouldn't make light of the potentially violent situation - and with Rihanna on board, we wonder if a domestic violence gag was in especially poor taste. Watch the video below.

In the sketch, Kenan Thompson (as Tiger Woods) appears bruised and battered while Blake Lively wields a golf club. Thompson says, "Right after my last press conference, I was in my home, having a chat with my lovely and deceptively strong wife Elin. I guess I wasn't looking where I was going and I fell down the stairs. I was disoriented from the fall, so I stumbled to the other side of the house and I launched myself through a plate glass window."

"Ja, says Lively, "this is what happened."

LOL!!! I say the same thing every time I hear of a sorry a** female getting her a** kicked by a man. As a matter of fact,every time I hear of one being killed I smile. Because that mean there's one less piece of useless trash on the planet. I think women should be all gathered up and burned on a remote island somewhere. They add nothing to society but grief. Don't you agree?? DV against women is hilarious and I hope you get to find out for yourself LOL!!

I didn't see anything wrong or awkward with the Tiger Woods Parody on SNL. I thought it shed light on the fact that women aren't always the victims of domestic violence; men can also be victims. This MIGHT have been the case in Chris Brown's and Rihanna's relationship. It is never okay for one person to abuse/assault another person regardless of the gender. I think when women are the abusers, the issue is taken less lightly than when men are the abusers.

Get real!!! this was humorous and you gets are trying to filter things through your points of view. We do not live in a perfect world. The whole thing with rihanna and Chris brown while not funny was cause by both of their behavior. It's funny how women are never held accountable for their actions in domestic violence. if she had hit me......!!!

While their detractors are definitely correct in observing that if the tables were turned we wouldn't be so quick to laugh...okay, I'll grant that there is certainly a double-standard at play here...but it was funny. Big deal!

Guess what Tiger is a public figure and that is the way it goes. As far as being offended, guess what it was a joke a skit that was funny as hell. I give SNL props for putting such a great skit up, oh no know that I said that I must want all woman to get beat up. I have had my head opened with several objects by men but never with a golf club*0)... and I never will. I don't put up with that aggression anymore. I am only stating my opinion on what the facts are, what she did to Tiger was not DV. He is the vicim? He was cheating on her with multiple "other" women and she had enough. Get a grip. Passive aggresive as you are, you'ld never see the difference, guys. And you think you know all the facts about their relationship? This is not about that anyways, it's about the skit. It was funny.
