Rihanna was the guest musician on the latest episode of 'Saturday Night Live,' and while her hilarious appearance in a digital short with Andy Samberg was a highlight of our week, it was another sketch that gave us pause. Host Blake Lively played Elin Nordegren Woods in a segment lampooning the model's marriage to scandalized golfer Tiger Woods. The skit focused on allegations that Elin beat her husband with a golf club after learning of his infidelity. We think, had the genders been reversed, 'SNL' wouldn't make light of the potentially violent situation - and with Rihanna on board, we wonder if a domestic violence gag was in especially poor taste. Crotchbuster..I would much rather my husband knock me upside my head with a golf club than to know that he was cheating on me with some other woman while I was 7 months pregnant with our child..and then to find out he was cheating on me afterwards, too..while acting like a "proud Poppa"!! That, to me is much more hurtful than one,quick sting to my noggin!! That is a stab to my heart!!
Oh well, we live in a world of double standards.
Truthfully I do find this skit funny and would have abhorred it if it was the other way around; making fun of Rihanna's plight for example.
But then again, I have a feeling that Tiger's infidelities would be easily forgiven too just because he's a man who is charming and filthy rich.

no matter what, some of the most memorable and amazing shot ever produced by a pga golfer will now be tarnished because of his off the course indiscretions. Heroes have no chance in this TVZ world. as the biblical quotation goes, "he who among you without sin should cast the first stone".

is something few of us will witness and even fewer of us will attain. Don't shun a human because of his humaness- his fish bowl couls abe yours--you wish-did you see those girls? grrrrrrrrrr.

Men do this because they think they can get away with it as long as 'she' wont tell and the women will continually forgive them. Use men tactics to exploit them for their own behavior!! there is entirely too much domestic violence in which the woman is the instigator and when the man finally has enough, HE is the one that goes to jail for putting a stop to it. Most men dont think its appropriate to turn in their women for domestic violence and many are persecuted because of this. The more publicity on this issue the BETTER!

I would have to say that Tiger instigated this from all his philandering (sp.?)..His wife was 7 months pregnant with their child,at home decorating the nursery and all...while he was out chasing skirts!! Not a smart move on behalf of a family man because he could bring home diseases to the wife and children!!Not to mention the shame and humility of it all!!

If a woman cheats does that give her man a right to beat HER with a golf club? I'm sure a judge would surely understand that as he or she threw the guy in jail for 3 years.. or more... women want equality.. i have YET to see it in domestic violence!
