'SNL' Lampoons Alleged Violence in Tiger Woods' Marriage

Rihanna was the guest musician on the latest episode of 'Saturday Night Live,' and while her hilarious appearance in a digital short with Andy Samberg was a highlight of our week, it was another sketch that gave us pause. Host Blake Lively played Elin Nordegren Woods in a segment lampooning the model's marriage to scandalized golfer Tiger Woods. The skit focused on allegations that Elin beat her husband with a golf club after learning of his infidelity.

We think, had the genders been reversed, 'SNL' wouldn't make light of the potentially violent situation - and with Rihanna on board, we wonder if a domestic violence gag was in especially poor taste. Watch the video below.

In the sketch, Kenan Thompson (as Tiger Woods) appears bruised and battered while Blake Lively wields a golf club. Thompson says, "Right after my last press conference, I was in my home, having a chat with my lovely and deceptively strong wife Elin. I guess I wasn't looking where I was going and I fell down the stairs. I was disoriented from the fall, so I stumbled to the other side of the house and I launched myself through a plate glass window."

"Ja, says Lively, "this is what happened."

The sad part is that Tiger may be a sociopath. Very Scary! She must leave him quickly and never look back.

I personally found the skit hilarious. Did it go to far... I don't think so. I think all of America has been speculating about whether or not Elin hit Tiger with a golf club, SNL just put that out in the open. SNL shed the light on the issue that like many women there are also many men who are subjected to Domestic Violence. Domestic Violence isn't a laughing matter but it is also not limited to sex, race, gender or economic status.

People should realize that SNL doesn't worry about who it "offends" for the most part. Everybody is fair game. That's why they can do what they do there. If you make huge, stupid news headlines during the week, get a case a beer and some chips. Invite your best friends over and schedule a news conference for Sunday morning to say how cruel they were to you, because you can bet your ass you'll make the show somehow. If you can't handle that... don't make huge stupid news headlines.

SNL has made a mockery of so many people. I don't watch the show, never will!!! Personally why don't the writers make fun of their family and if any friends. Let it be one of them that suffers a terrible tragedy or personal issue and have it blasted and smeared and extremely distorted.

As a long time fan of SNL, I can say that last nights episode was one of the WORST I have ever wasted caffeine to stay up for. The first mistake is booking these idiotic, imprettysoidontneedtoactwell actresses in their twenties as hosts. The second mistake is their horrible choice of musical acts. Rhianna?? Good lord, half the time she appeared to lipsync! However, the writing has gone downhill to the extent that even 3 skits resorting to 'vagina humor' failed. Spare us all and hire someone to write something that's FUNNY!!!!

I thought the skit was funny, and I don't watch SNL anymore. Not since the whole Sarah Palin deal. Granted, domestic violence in ANY AND ALL forms are NOT FUNNY, but for one brief moment, the public got to see what EVERYONE was thinking in their heads about Tiger Woods' accident, and the events leading up to, and after said incident. Though it's a shame that we, the public, laugh at such skits, even though there's an underlying message in it. That message is that women aren't always the victims, and just like breast cancer, men can get hit with it too.
