American TV journalist and sportscaster Bryant Gumbel just revealed that he's recovering from having cancer surgery. Gumbel, 61, had a tumor removed from his chest and lungs but said he'll need "more treatment" to make sure all the cancerous cells have been eliminated.

This is just silly. Of course, being a celebrity, he could pay for his surgery. There is no "special treatment" Obama's plan would allow someone less fortunate with chest pain to go get it checked out before it is terminal cancer. Now, they just wait until they are on deaths door to go to the doctor, when surgery and chemo would be only life extending measures instead of life saving simply because they are poor. I'm glad there are people like O'Bama that care about people less fortunate than he is more than he cares about his own gain. Lose the selfishness, and life is so great. You don't realize how much being self absorbed constricts your blood vessels and makes you unhappy.
