She really loves Ina Garten's 'Barefoot Contessa:' "I tried to get on Ina's show. I tried to use my, well, you know...I say, use what you have to make the world better or for yourself! But eventually she just said, 'I'm sorry, I only use my real friends on the show.' I felt like, What are you saying? That we're not friends? I know everything about you!"
Her relationship with husband Ben Affleck: "We were together a year, and we just started breeding," she says. "We were like, 'Let's have a baby!"
They won't work together again anytime soon: "I think he's brilliant at what he does, but why rock the boat?" she says. "It works between us pretty well the way it is. I don't know if I want to go to work with him. I'd be like, 'Okay already, you got the shot. Let's go home!'"

Peppa, don't sugar coat it, tell us how you really feel.
I agree. Barefoot Contesa. I wish Food Network would dump that show. What a waste. Lately they have it on when we get home in the evening. So..back over to the news or sportscenter. How do they think that show relates to anyone outside of the pretentious snobs from the Hamptons? Get that arrogant bore off the air. Sooner than later....Gary from Orlando
PEPPA... Take a Pill.
sounds like someone protests too much. for someone who hates the barefoot contessa (no need for your religious hate remark btw) - you sure do know EVERYTHING about it. sounds like someone watches the show ALL THE TIME! stop the hate peppa!
holy crap you are sooo right. ina garten is such a bore!!!! they couldn't drum up fun at a clown's 21st birthday party!!!
Wow Peppa, you hit it right on the head! she is so full of herself, I can't even watch her for two seconds. everthing is"wonderful" and everyday is a "party".she's a blowhard!
You may call her boring (thank goodness she's not beyond "over the top" like some tv chefs) and her husband a putz, but have you ever bothered to try any of her recipes? We've tried many...and they all are very, very good. You can start with her turkey lasagna. JMHO.
I'm so glad that Ina doesn't have celebrities on her show. I don't particularly care for her friends that she repeatldy has on the show, I do enjoy some of her recipes.

I agree. The Barefoot Contessa should be cancelled. Who the hell made her a Contessa? Her recipes are flawed and her beach house demonstrates too much snobbiness for me. No wonder her husband only spends the weekends with her... that all he can stand.
LOL. I thought Martha Stewart was the most boring, monotone person to ever grace a tv screen until I saw Ina Garten.
I like the show. I think her food is classic and simply prepared, and I've learned a few tricks from her (those are my favorite shows, when I can actually put something I've learned to good use and save myself time and aggravation.) I find her tone and manner to be soothing rather than boring. And I love her home, her car, her sweet husband and her fun and devoted friends. I'm a bit jealous--she is one lucky woman. And who wouldn't want a husband who only came home from his work on the weekends? Sounds like a perfect world to me. :)
Peppa- get an education! I.E- "Her mary friends"
I have a feeling Peppa has washed Ina's dishes and sheets And Ina fired her.
Don't feel bad Jennifer. You have to be a homosexual male to be on Barefoot Contessa's show. :)
PEPPA, YOU'RE A RIOT.CANNOT THIS GARNER PERSON AFFORD TO BUY SOME CLEAVAGE?
Just for information:
Ina Garten previously wrote nuclear power policy for the White House when she first graduated college; Decided to follow her heart and bought an established gourmet food shop/cafe named "The Barefoot Contessa". Was quite successful with this and eventually sold it to her employees when she decided to spend more time on her cookbooks, etc.
Her husband is a well-respected professor with many accolades and awards for his work.
When first married, Ina and Jeffrey lived on a shoestring so they would have money to further their dreams.
They have both worked very hard for their success.
As far as having her friends on the show...she seems to be accepting of people, no matter what their situation is.
If you can't stand the heat, then get out of the kitchen..or just turn the channel.
They should have never canceled Alias. She was perfect for that show. Too Bad.
