Susan Boyle Scores Duet With Her Idol Elaine Paige

Susan Boyle reached another pinnacle in her career after producers arranged for her to sing a duet with her idol, Elaine Paige. The surprise was kept a secret from Boyle until shortly before the performance, reports UK's Daily Mail. The pair sang Paige's song 'I Know Him So Well.' After the duet, the 'Britain's Got Talent' runner-up said, "I never thought I would see myself standing on the same stage with such an icon from West End theater, let alone singing with her as an equal." The performance is part of a TV special called 'I Dreamed A Dream: The Susan Boyle Story.'
Paige was glad to see Boyle's dream come true. "It was a pleasure to finally sing with Susan. She was a delight to work with, and I think we more than did justice to one of my favorite songs." Boyle had previously admitted singing along to Paige's music, alone, in front of her bedroom mirror, equipped with a hairbrush for a microphone. When Boyle first auditioned for 'Britain's Got Talent,' the judges asked what her dream was, and she answered that she wanted to sing like Elaine Paige.
Boyle has sold three million copies worldwide of her debut album 'I Dreamed A Dream' and could top 4.5 million in the next week.

She does look awesome and it's so nice to see her sing on stage with her Idol...she's even one herself nowadays. I'd love to see the video of this...
Good for her! It's refreshing to hear a story like this for a change. I've had it with all of the bad news about the economy, foreclosures, the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, terrorists, oil prices and inflation. Way to go, Susan!
