Gary Busey, Girlfriend Expecting Boy

Gary Busey and Steffanie Sampson will welcome a child together next year.

The actor's girlfriend is seven months pregnant with a boy, his agent tells PEOPLE. Just this week he told Moviefone that he's putting his career on the shelf for now, as "working on the birth of this baby in two months" was "all that matters."

"He feels awesome about it, he's excited and thrilled and can't wait," his agent exclaims.

The couple named their son Luke.

The 65-year-old Oscar winner has two children, Jake Busey and Alectra, from previous relationships.

never understood these OLD men having babies - he's 65 & will never see this kid graduate. will never be able to physically PLAY with his son. too old & crazy to raise a child successfully. how selfish these people are.

I think the guy needs to find out what marriage is first... Also, I agree.. You are to old to expect to see this child grow up.. Should have done yourself a favor and left your pants zipped...

No need for me to post anything - you took the words out of my mouth. He has 2 children from previous 'relationships'. Not only do I think age 65 is too old for him to start with a newborn but what is that girlfriend thinking???

Gary Busey has a GIRLFRIEND?? That's terrible. No way can this man participate in a healthy relationship. He is dysfunctional and impaired beyond belief. I know relationships aren't perfect but this goes way beyond love being kind and accepting an unconditonal. He has no capacity to even make adult descisions for himself. Unless he was making all his behavior up for the Dr. Drew Rehab Show cameras, this woman is just taking advantage because he's a celebrity. And now she's bringing a baby into it? Oh, Joy!! Congratulations.....your 65 year old junk still works. We all realize how vital of a man you still are, producing sperm/children in your golden years..(sarcasm) These old geezers are idiots in denial. I pity these kids. IMO, anyone after the age of 45 should not be having children. Kind of selfish, I think. A pathetic attempt to try and re-capture their youth, but look at who pays the price in the end. Just what every teen wants - a father old enough to be your grandfather/great-grandfather.
