Gosselin Skips Court Date in TLC Lawsuit

Jon Gosselin was a no-show at Thursday's hearing in his legal fight with the TLC network. Gosselin's attorney, Mark Heller, had previously said the celebrity dad would attend Thursday's hearing in Maryland, but the hearing started without him. The network wants the judge to stop the 'Jon and Kate Plus 8' dad from making media appearances that it says violate his exclusive contract.

TLC, which is owned by Silver Spring, Md.-based Discovery Communications, says the contract remains in force.

The judge says Gosselin's lawyers don't plan to call witnesses.

Gosselin says he has a right to earn a living as a media personality. He also claims in a countersuit that TLC violated Pennsylvania's child labor laws in filming his eight children.

He is also in the midst of divorcing wife of 10 years, Kate Gosselin.

Gosslin is one of the biggest douchebags on the entire planet. Who and why anyone at all even cares about this freak of nature, is way beyond my means of perception. I'm sure I'm not the only one who wishes this guy, his hag of a wife, and their freak children would all just fade away into oblivion.

Dang this guy looks worse evrytime you see a new photo. Looks like he's aged 10 years in the last few months. In one photo he's holding one of the boys (not sure which) but the kid has a big smile on his face, as much as I don't like what Jon has done over the last year, he is still daddy in the eyes of those kids so "daddy" step it up and put those kids first.

Why is it that every story we read says Jon is divorcing his wife of ten years.Jon is not divorcing his wife SHE IS DIVORCING HIM..She filed the papers and now she is saying she just want's to get over with.He wanted to try to fix the marriage and she said no. I hope when it's over Katie Irene winds up in a double wide with Steve or whoever,and Jon winds up with a good job or even a show or whatever it takes to support those kids.Whatever Katie Irene gets she asked for{or demanded} When this woman finally realizes it should have been Jon&Kate against the world it will be too late.Katie Irene Karma has a way of sneaking up on you and it ain't gonna be pretty to watch.

I have watched J&K+8 since the start, and I continued to see Kate, belittle, Jon in front of viewers and the children, now that Jon has put up with 10 YEARS of Kates Belittlement he finally started to stand UP FOR HISELF! Yes Kate is divorceing him, she ask for it, so he went away tried a new life, but still LOVES His children. Then Kate tells the world how she is crying herself to sleep ever night, because Jon left..You readers need to get the story right. I feel sorry for Jon, 10 years is a LONG TIME to live with someone like Kate, Just think of the things he had to go thru when the cameras were off.MONEY IS WHAT KATE IS AFTER, MONEY!!Wait and see.

You have no right to disparage Kate's behavior to her husband, ESPECIALLY since he's been a serial cheater for nearly 7 of his 10 years of marriage. What amazes me is that she had the restraint not to kill him in his sleep.

I know from experience how you lose all respect for a man who wants to stay a "teenager" and leaves all the responsibility to MOM. I leared the hard way too. Don't judge her until you walked a block in her shoes.

True - she did file for divorce AFTER his cheating became public knowledge. He never said he wanted to get back with Kate, he said he wanted to make things right with her. That doesn't mean a reconciliation -just a more amicable split. This guy is a jerk and now that he's 'single' it's all about him and his girlfriends. I can't think of him as a media celebrity and don't know how he'll make a living on TV. The truth always bubbles to the surface - Kate had her reasons for belittling him.

John is stupid! He had these kids and he had a chance to make money to make sure they all lived well for the rest of their lives. He blew it!

I would divorce him to, remember he was out partying with collage girls and haveing sex with several. I suppose you would keep your spouce if they were doing the same thing right ??? ..... kinda brings things to light if the shoe was on the other foot doesn't it? She is no saint but she has always focused on raising the kids and has always been the one that has had to run things. Jon has always acted like a child. She has always had to be the adult one. Through this whole ordeal she has been there trying to make the kids life as normal as she can. I don't blame her for her book writing or her appearances. People have the interest about her and her kids life. At least she isn't sitting on her rump drawing welfare and food stamps off the taxpayers. The kids seem like normal well adjusted kids to me. They have the normal temper tanterums and all the normal ups and downs of normal children. I myself do not think that the show has damaged or hurt the children in any way. I enjoy watching them grow up. I hope to see them back on tv soon.

Kate knew the marriage was in trouble for some time, her mistake was that she thought it was the stress of having eight kids, I think when Jon cheated on his marriage she decided to go forward with the divorce. Many women, myself included, cannot forget ...maybe forgive but never forget what it feels to have the man you love turn to another woman for sex. She should move on and Jon too. It is obvious he does not know true love, and never will.

Jon Gosselin has given new meaning to taking the low road. While I am sure his kids love their daddy,I am not very impressed by the way he is showing his love for them. Seems like a self centered,selfish low life to me.

Jon could've stopped whining like a 4 year old girl, any time, and began being a good, strong father and husband. Just because he didn't actually file, doesn't mean he didn't leave the relationship First.
