Jon Gosselin was a no-show at Thursday's hearing in his legal fight with the TLC network. Gosselin's attorney, Mark Heller, had previously said the celebrity dad would attend Thursday's hearing in Maryland, but the hearing started without him. The network wants the judge to stop the 'Jon and Kate Plus 8' dad from making media appearances that it says violate his exclusive contract.TLC, which is owned by Silver Spring, Md.-based Discovery Communications, says the contract remains in force.
The judge says Gosselin's lawyers don't plan to call witnesses.
Gosselin says he has a right to earn a living as a media personality. He also claims in a countersuit that TLC violated Pennsylvania's child labor laws in filming his eight children.
He is also in the midst of divorcing wife of 10 years, Kate Gosselin.

What I don't understand is that Jon Gosselin had what many fathers, my husband included, would have given anything for - being at home with his kids and getting paid for it, so why blow it up? The only thing I can think of is that he is a short man with a self-esteem problem. Wonder what kind of life they would have had if Jon&Kate plus 8 had never happened? Living in a too small house with 8 kid, making a pittance for a salary. He wouldn't have liked that either and he would have found another reason to split. At least this way Kate has the money to raise her kids on.

Doesn't Jon realize that if he's saying in a countersuit that "TLC violated Pennsylvania's child labor laws in filming his eight children."
that he and kate can both be accused of the same since they are the parentts and they knew about the labor laws and just disregarded them for money. He can't say he didn't know since he is suing TLC for it.

He is soooo disquisting!!! I know maybe she drove him to where he is at, but give me a BREAK!!! He is taking everything from his children!! He is not happy being with them,(So it shows)!! So let Kate pull the weight, and figuire out what will be best for them!! I personally miss the children!!!

First if you click on the story ans take time to leave a remark you've just contributed to keeping it in the news. Only stories that get attention are news so bravo. Second since I doubt any of you know these people personally you really have no room to judge. Would you like your life put under a microscope? It's easy to stand back and give opinions but no one looks that good this close. And finally if you hire a roofer, sign a contract, and pay him to do the work and he decides half way through he doesn't want to do anymore and starts working for someone else your gonna sue too. Jon signed a contract with legal counsel present and willing he is obligated to uphold that contract. Period!

It's funny how now he claims child labor laws were violated while he was filming, and still collecting pay checks from TLC, now no pay check and suddenly the child labor law violation is brought up. I'm sorry he is not a celebrity, a celebrity usually has a hit show or movie or is a singer. Jon is now a wanna be. He needs to grow up and take responsibility for everything. I admit when the show first started I watched it all the time, but as they started getting more things handed to them, like trips and opportunitys that most people don't have, I started to hate it but still watched it just so I could see how stupid jon would be and how many times Kate would have to correct him or yell at him to do something.

THOSE ARE HIS CHILDREN, AND ALWAYS WILL BE, SORDA LIKE MICHAEL JACKSONS DAD, HE HAS HIRED AN ATTORNEY TO CLAIM A PART OF HIS DECEASED SONS ESTATE, BECAUSE IT WAS WILLED TO HIS WIFE, BY MICHAEL.
