Joy Behar made her paycheck Thursday during a Tiger Woods-related discussion on 'The View,' where she used her gift of comedic wordplay to call one of the golfer's alleged mistresses a "hooker."
After Whoopi Goldberg referenced Rachel Uchitel in the growing Tiger scandal, the ladies began cross-talking before a ding! went off in Behar's mind: "Uchitel she's a hooker." Watch after the jump.
The zinger may have gone unnoticed, but Uchitel's super-attorney Gloria Allred was watching and promptly issued a statement slamming -- without naming -- Behar.
"This statement about Ms. Uchitel is false and defamatory and highly offensive to her," Allred said Thursday night (via EOnline.com). "Rachel is very upset by that statement which has been viewed and now read all around the world."
"This statement was very hurtful to Rachel because it is not true," she continued. "Even if the host said it in a joking way Rachel is not amused, because she values her reputation and her reputation has been damaged by this statement as it is completely false."
Uchitel, the first woman in the Woods affair mix, has been on a public relations tear this week. She defended her honor in OK! magazine, proclaiming "I'm not a whore. I'm not a tramp. I'm not an escort. I'm not stupid or a bimbo."
She continued: "People have called me homewrecker, gold-digger, tramp, whore. I make mistakes, but I'm not those things. I have very good qualities. When you're judged by the nation it's really difficult. It's horrible."
