Johnny Depp was in the Caribbean Sunday night to receive a career achievement award, but he got more than he bargained for. The 'Pirates' actor was handed a neatly framed portrait of himself.

His actual award at the Bahamas International Film Festival was not any less surreal: a bright fish. Nevertheless, Depp told the waiting press he never gets used to winning awards.

"Whenever anybody say they are going to give me some kind of award, I'm always a little stupefied by the notion. The first thing I say is 'why?'," Depp, who owns an island in the Bahamas, told reporters.
