Courtney Love Loses Custody of Frances Bean

Courtney Love is no longer the legal guardian of her 17-year-old daughter, Frances Bean Cobain.

TMZ reports that a court appointed guardianship of Frances to her grandmother Wendy O'Connor and aunt Kimberly Dawn Cobain.

The new guardians, however, have no control over the trust set up for Kurt Cobain's only child.

Love's erratic behavior of late is believed to be the reason she lost custody, according to TMZ.

NOW she loses custody?! Her erratic behavior of LATE has people questioning her parenting skills?! Courtney Love has been a drugged out mess for years! It just goes to show you how lacking our child protective services are. The state should have terminated her rights a long ass time ago...around the time Kurt killed himself. Good luck, Frances! Enjoy what is left of your childhood!

It`s about time..She`s the reason Kurt is dead..Courtney is one big mess selling Kurts songs and then claiming someone stole all her money..Frances does`nt need a drug addict to take care of her she needs a Mom..Dave Grohl and Krist were right when they said years ago he`s need professinal help..Maybe now she`ll get it..

Are YOU freakin' nuts you pathetic armchair quarterback social worker??? Hate to break it to ya, but it is a well researched fact that you NEVER intentionally break up a child parent relationship permanently UNLESS 1. the child is very young, young enough that he will only have a distant memory of a 'bad' parent 2. there has been a long standing DSS intervention history. Children too often revert to very negative behaviors when yanked unconditionally from even the worst parents. At least this young lady is old enough now to understand WHY she is being placed with her g-parents. And even with that- she surely will still have plenty of visit time with her mother, as she should. Imagine someone ripping YOU AWAY from the only mother you've ever known- one that probably has told you countless times how much she loved you- in spite of her demons. Think HARD. You cold ass idiot.

umm sometimes its not our dhs caseworkers that mess up there are parents out there that like to cover up how they treat their children.dont judge dhs caseworkers or parents before you really know whats going on,dont prejudge people even though courtney has been a drugged out mess.maybe for a little bit she did get her act together but her actions finally cAUGHT UP TO HER.

I seem to remember that this woman was using heroin throughout her pregnancy and I am at loss to understand how she was allowed to take her child home 17 yrs ago.

It's about friggin' time! Who's been looking out for this poor girl's well-being up to now. God bless her. I hope that she is able to grow into a safe, happy, well-adjusted adult, and not spend the rest of her life paying for the problems of her parents.

It took 17ys to get this kid off her...and now GRanny has her...gee does this have anything to do with her trustfund???This woman has been a mess for yrs...I pissed at Granny....she did not step up the plate until the kids money is ready....this is how I am reading this..hopefully at 18 this kid can run off..

What took the courts so long?? She has already done damage to her daughter. This woman is a train wreck and has no business caring for her daughter. She can't even care for herself. Ridiculous!

Speaking from experience, sometimes having a "messed-up" mother leaves you with the desire and strength to not be like them. You can rise above your upbringing and are only responsible for your own actions.

The court system is just as bad as Courtney! Frances Bean has witnessed so much threw her "important building years"... to wait till now she is 17.... she will not listen she will tell everyone what they want to hear and bam when she is 18 she will get an attitude from hell! To have a dad kill himself and missing in her life trust me has damaged her bad. I have a neice and her dad (my brother) killed himself and my neice is so messed up. Smokes pot, eating disorder, drinks, and never has had any structure or discipline. She just turned 18 and I am surgar coating it. So to have Frances even turn out halfway good is like Jesus Christ showing up in NYC.... NEVER HAPPEN. Look at the train wreak Cortney is and Kurt was no better. The courts screwed up big time here they should of removed that child when Kurt died. This girl I hate to say is doomed.
