Courtney Love Loses Custody of Frances Bean

Courtney Love is no longer the legal guardian of her 17-year-old daughter, Frances Bean Cobain.

TMZ reports that a court appointed guardianship of Frances to her grandmother Wendy O'Connor and aunt Kimberly Dawn Cobain.

The new guardians, however, have no control over the trust set up for Kurt Cobain's only child.

Love's erratic behavior of late is believed to be the reason she lost custody, according to TMZ.

If her daughter is 17, she can get emancipated.
Why didnt they take custody when she was a little
baby and her mom was doing drugs, and getting DUIs?
Maybe they want to reap the benefits of the trust fund.It must be really juicy!

I think it's well known that people who give their kids weird and bizarre names (like "Francis Bean") are mentally ill. It's no real surprise that Kurt ended up the way he did; his thinking he came up w/ a good name for his daughter showed that something was very, very wrong with him.

The kid is old enough to be an emancipated adult. Shes seen and heard more than enough for her age, Let her live her own life!

Thank God Frances has a grandmother and aunt to take care of her and rescue her from The Cobain and
Love curse otherwise she is going to end up just like them. They should have rescued her a long time ago. I pray she stays away from drugs and alcohol. Takes a lesson from her parents faults. Shame on Love for not being a better parent. She's headed for the graveyard if she doesn't once and for all take control of herself. Sad to say but will be a reality someday. God bless them all.

So, here the girl is 17 and in less than a year she will be old enough to decide if she wants to live with Love or someone else. Will be interesting to see who she decides to go with.
