Jennifer Garner's Alleged Stalker Arrested Near Violet's Nursery School

A man long accused of stalking 'Alias' star
Jennifer Garner was arrested Monday for violating a restraining order after he was found creeping around the Santa Monica nursery school attended by the star's daughter, Violet Affleck.
Steven Burky was picked up around 9 a.m. after officers observed him loitering in an alley near the school,
RadarOnline.com is reporting.
Garner was granted a restraining order against Burky in 2008 after she convinced a judge that he was endangering her family, which also includes husband
Ben Affleck. In a declaration, Garner said the man had been stalking and harassing me" since 2002 and typically sent "packages and letters containing delusional and paranoid thoughts."
She claimed Burky was "following me around the country" and that "his obsessive and harassing behavior has escalated to the point of becoming dangerous and threatening."
Other bizarre rantings described by Garner include: "He has now shown up at my private residence and has repeatedly expressed his belief that God has sent him a vision of me being persecuted in some manner that might result in my death."
The
Santa Monica Daily Press is reporting that Burky writes a blog titled Satanic Pani and asks, "Are multitudes of adults resorting to human sacrifices and then repressing this information from fear of Christ."
Burky was being held on $150,000 bail.

What are the police waiting for? There are a multitude of signs that this man has serious psychological issues. I'd not like to think it would take him actually doing something physical to someone for the authorities to take him seriously. It's not about the fact that he's stalking a "star", it's about the fact that he's stalking anyone to this capacity. It's frightening.

I hear you and agree, but even the creepy have rights, darn it! How many times have you heard of a man killing his estranged wife, even tho' she had a r. order? Stars have it worse with TMZ tracking their lives. Wouldn't it be great if we could have those that creep us out locked up?? Several folks in Congress leap to mind...
Great, now the Judges and laywers will let him out and he will kill someone and then everyone will say, "what a shame".

Jack Bristow would know what to do with this loser.

Great Alias allusion! Yes, Jack Bristow would have just made this clown disappear.
Why would we even know the name of the preschool?

This is a typical case of the criminal having more rights than the victim. What does it take, before they lock him up, and leave him there? Now he is stalking the school grounds! This is ridiculous! He has no rights! Protect this family, and keep him off the streets!

Hmm, why are many criminals have large throat? To make the room for the noose grip?

Unfortunately this is the price of fame - you couldn't pay me to be rich and famous - privacy is priceless.

To add to the creepiness, look at those pictures. He looks enough like her to be a brother.

I was thinking the exact same thing! LOL
The man is clearly a paranoid schizophrenic. Can't they take him to the psych ward? With the proper meds. and medical attention, the problems for both people, he & Garner, (& of course her family), would be attended to. This action would make much better use of taxpayer money and actually move towards SOLVING the problem.

No Way! This man would be medicated, let out, feel better and then stop taking his medication. Round two would begin! Don't forget Rebecca Schaeffer who was stalked and then murdered by a crazed fan. This family must be terrified and should be able to count on the justice system to protect them, famous or not!
it's a shame when a person can't live their life in peace and you don't bother anyone, and then all the crazys and perverts and creeps of society prey on the innocent people and children of this world
and the law will not do anything about it.
even when it is clear that they are a dangerous person to others. it's not fair to law abiding people and innocent children and women and others who are counting on the law to keep these kind of people away from us and lock them up cause of their mental illnesses.
it's clear they have mental illnesses of their very actions of stalking and following people and lurking around. they are clearly up to no good.
and it usually ends in something bad happening.

I pray the matter is resolved before he does something dangerous. I believe there may be more to the story than we know. He looks an awful lot like her. They resemble each other.

Wow, this is scary, and I can't imagine having to deal with these type of sickos.... that said maybe Ben Affleck will start re-thinking his liberal, bleeding heart agenda.... If we had less bleeding hearts worrying about the "criminals" rights they would be able to lock this loser up.

How scary is that? The man is lurking around her child's daycare...something tells me that if he gets out, he's not going to stop..something else should be done.

As a retired attorney, I can tell you that restraining orders many times are hardly worth the paper they are written on!! Yes, stalker can be arrested for violating it, but sometimes "violating" means killing or injuring the victim. I don't know what the answer is, but if you have enough money, I guess you can institute security measures that mean you practically live in a fortress. Having a bodyguard for your child is not exactly conducive to a "normal" upbringing, but necessary in these instances!!!

Obviously major psychological issues. Probably a schizophrenic: "...delusional and paranoid thoughts" according to the article.
I'm not trying to say guys like him should get off easy for doing something weird and creepy as this but jail won't rehabilitate him.
They need to send him to a mental hospital and keep him there.
