Michael Lohan: 'I Was Never Arrested'

EXCLUSIVE: Michael Lohan is not happy with the headlines floating around claiming he got arrested, so he's speaking out exclusively to PopEater's Rob Shuter to tell his side of the tale. Lohan, who was reportedly arrested for violating a restraining order, says that the media "has got it wrong," declaring: "I was never arrested over the weekend. Secondly, the original charge, that stated I threatened to kill Erin or myself was proven false and was dropped."

According to TMZ and other news outlets, Lohan was arrested for calling his ex-girlfriend Erin Muller -- which would be a violation of a restraining order she has against him. A booking photo of Lohan has since emerged, but the Hollywood family patriarch still tells PopEater via e-mail that the reports are bogus. "I went in to police and had to be processed for court," he tells us as to why a mugshot is now out there.

"Erin once again made a claim that will be proven wrong," Lohan says, denying that the call was made. He also says he is "heading to the police dept. now to present evidence in the form of recordings; messages; pictures; videos and subpoenas that will prove all the charges have been false while unfortunately the authorities will be investigating numerous charges against Erin."

Lohan continues, telling PopEater "a lot more will be proven wrong with the taped conversations, pictures, videos, and documentation I have which is being submitted to the authorities and courts."

Lohan says he wishes "Erin the best and hope she finds whatever it is she is looking for. I spent over two years with her and came to love her and truly care for her and all she went through in her years prior to meeting me."
