What Happened to the Hoff? Hasselhoff Hijinks Reviewed

November 27: A day that will forever ring out in infamy. (And not because it's the day Tiger Woods smashed his Escalade into a tree, kick-starting the biggest sports cheating scandal since Shoeless Joe Jackson fixed the World Series in 1919.) November 27 is the day we were all reminded (again) that David Hasselhoff is a mere mortal.

"He's standing up, but he keeps falling back down," Hasselhoff's daughter Hayley, 17, told a 911 operator the day after Thanksgiving. "He got back up, and he's fine. It's kind of scaring me," she continued. It's kind of scaring us too, especially since it's just the latest in a long and admittedly fascinating history of Hasselhoff Hijinks.

July 2002 - The Hoff Checks into Betty Ford
'Baywatch' was canceled just a year earlier, so maybe that's why Hasselhoff was down in the dumps. Whatever the case, the legend reportedly showed up without luggage at a Palm Springs hotel and attacked his mini-bar. Tabloids reported he was found sprawled unconscious next to the empty fridge. Paramedics revived him, and he checked into the Betty Ford Clinic for treatment.

June 2006 - Shaving Accident
Hasselhoff reportedly hit his head on a chandelier while shaving in a gym bathroom at the Sanderson Hotel in London. He spent a night in the hospital for treatment on a severed tendon. Does this freak accident seem extremely suspicious to anyone else?

May 2007 - The Drunk Hamburger Incident
If you were David Hasselhoff, you'd probably hate the Internet. Everything was going so well for the man prior to its advent. He drove a talking car, he toppled the Berlin Wall and he made an estimated $100 million before he lost a single hair on his head. After the Internet came along, his hamburger video was posted all over the universe, and everything's been kind of downhill from here.

May 2009 - Alcohol Poisoning
According to RadarOnline.com, Hasselhoff's daughter Hayley found the 56-year-old actor passed out and "foaming at the mouth, a sign of alcohol poisoning." The Hoff was hauled off to the hospital where it was discovered his blood-alcohol content was an astounding .39, four times the legal limit.

September 2009 - Drunk or Just Dramatic?
Though The Hoff's reps deny it, various news sources reported the star was hospitalized in September for alcohol related issues following a 911 phone call made by one of ex-wife Pamela Bach's friends. Daughter Hayley again handled damage control, calling 911 herself and telling the dispatcher, "Turn around ... we're completely fine... My mom is trying to cause something ... nothing happened here at all." According to TMZ, paramedics showed up anyway and hauled the Hoff to the hospital.

October 2009 - Drunk Doc Punch
Hasselhoff had reportedly been partying like a wild man the whole weekend in celebration of Simon Cowell's birthday. He had to be escorted out of the London party, witnesses told The Sun, after he got a bit unruly. Things got even more rowdy later on as the Hoff allegedly "wet his hotel bed - ruining two mattresses" and walloped an attending physician.

November 2009 - European Drunk Awards
Hasselhoff appeared in Berlin to present the award for Best Rock Act at the European Music Awards. His brief and sloppy performance onstage prompts the media to accuse The Hoff of making "German Slurs."

November 27, 2009 - Post-Thanksgiving Drunk Hospital Visit
You would hope he'd just chill out after an enjoyable Turkey Day, maybe take a slow-motion jog along the beach or hit the weight room. But daughter Hayley had to summon paramedics to his house (check the 911 call here). "My dad just ... he's collapsed ... He's standing up but he keeps falling back down ... But then he got back up and he's fine. It's kind of scaring me," she says. The 'America's Got Talent' host was released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center later that weekend, and TMZ found him in public last week. In typical Hoff fashion, he smiled and said, "I'm doing great!"

We're not so sure about that.

If he continues to abuse alcohol but refuses to seek help then he needs to be charged and pay for all of the ambulance rides to the hospital to save his life. What a disgusting example for his two daughters.

My heart goes out to David Hasselhoff because he has that old gene that makes him an alcoholic. It runs in my family too. They dont want to drink but it nags at their whole being to have that drink. My dad, brother, uncle and grandfather on the same side all drank. my dad died at 55 due to the drinking. Thank God I dont have it. Now my third son has it. I think instead of jail they should be put in a hospital for alcoholics and try to be helped. They are not being helped in jail.

David God bless you and I hope the devil gets out of your body that makes you drink. Go away devil I rebuke the devil in Davids body.

I know Dave and he is a genuinely nice guy. His family is so great-he has his sisters and their kids who love him so much. His dad and mom (Delores -she was super cool!! RIP) were and are wondeful. I never saw his parents ever abuse alcohol-ever! Dave - For your family-please stop so we don't wake up and read about your death in the papers before we get the phone call-from; someone speaking for us! we love you very much!

Rebuke the Devil from his body? Are you insane? AA meetings-90 in 90. Get a sponcer, and work the steps. Don't drink between meetings. Rebuke? Shut the hell up, fool.

You laid Hoff's drinking problem on a genetic genetic cause (a viable reason indeed), but then you bring up the Devil as the root of his addiction. I get the feeling you are trying to kill one bird with two stones.

She is your daughter, not your mommy, not your babysitter, get into rehab so she can finally have a life of her own and stop having to worry about your drunk ass.

My whole family has the gene. my brother ran his motorcycle into another car all because he couldnt stop ruining his life. Mt dad was a mean drunk. He beat me my sister my mother. My son isnt able to stop, I watch him every day killing himself.

This is the saddest thing to see a little girl care so much for her dad to do this......Or was it manipulation for something else. Who knows??? All I know is that this little girl better have family that would support what her looser parents does not do for her. I really do not want to watch his show anymore. I think he is an idiot for cursing to his daughter. I did not mind all of it........but i dont give a crap how drunk you are.....liquor sobers certain situation. And cursing your child is one of those sobering moments. DAVID H ASS OFF HAS REALLY SHOWED HIS TRUE COLORS FOR HIS FAMILY. He is a geek.
