Nate Berkus Becomes Latest Oprah Spawn

Harpo Productions is set to announce that Nate Berkus, the tan and perfectly coiffed design expert on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show,' will be the next O-spawned daytime talk host. The news comes just weeks after the TV icon announced she'll be ending her own show in 2001 and throws another wrench into the debate on who will ultimately replace her.

The New York Times is reporting that Winfrey's production company and Sony TV will announce Wednesday the creation of 'The Nate Berkus Show,' with a possible start date in September.

"Nate is a bona fide star," said Harpo co-president Erik Logan. "We know our viewers love him."

Berkus joins Dr. Phil and Rachael Ray in the ranks of TV stars to have gotten their start on Winfrey's popular show.

Sony is enthusiastic about the move, namely because of the ratings.

"When Nate appears with Oprah, the ratings spike," Sony president of distribution John Weiser told the Times.

I'd have whatever little respect I had for Oprah, had she really questioned her pal Obomb-a on his POMPOUS answer , when he was asked to grade himself as a viable president !
The look on her face really was one of ASTONISHMENT........and, his answer WOULD have been more CLASSY had he responded with a >> WE"LL HAVE TO LET THE AMERICAN PEOPLE SPEAK TO THAT QUESTION... .
A SOLID B+ ??? C'mon now ! that's foolish !

Why didn't she challenge him on his answer ??
SIMPLE >>>> SHE'S AS PHONY AS SHE'S ALWAYS BEEN, THAT'S WHY !
