Now, a month ago, that seemed like the easy choice. But since Woods' Thanksgiving car crash led to the revelation of his alleged infidelity with countless women, we wonder if he really should have the honor bestowed upon him.
Access Hollywood's AH Nation and PopEater have teamed up to ask if he's entitled to this commendation. Vote!

YES. He's being named ATHLETE of the Decade, not HUSBAND of the Decade, or FATHER of the Decade, or HUMAN BEING of the Decade - he flunks out on every one of those!

Well he sure is great at leaving voice mails. A real horses ass. Dump this jerk.

Michael Phelps is clearly the athlete of the decade based on performance in his sport. There should be no debate on this one.

Why are they choosing the athlete of the decade now when there is over a year left in the current decade???

HIS RECENT TRANSGRESSIONS ASIDE TIGER WOODS IS NOT WORDY OF THE TITLE. NEITHER IS ANY OTHER GOLFER FOR THAT MATTER.. PLAYING GOLF IS NOT A SPORT IN THE TRUE SENSE OF THE TERM. THERE IS NO RUNNING,NO ATHLETIC ABILITY REQUIRED. NO CATCHING A BALL OR BOUNCING A BALL OF ANY KIND.. GOLF IS A HOBBY, PURE AND SIMPLE. YES HE GETS PAID WELL AND HE IS THE BEST AT WHAT HE DOES , BUT, HE IS NOT AN ATHLETE!

Yes, and Ben Bernanke should be "man of the year".

I FEEL THAT WHEN YOU CHOOSE TO TAKE THE STEP TO BE IN THE PUBLIC'S EYE YOU HAVE TO ALSO REALIZE YOU HAVE A REPUTATION TO UP HOLD. TAKE RESPONIBILITY.

12+ girl friends and a wife. An athlete in every sense of the word, not to mention the golf thing....

I wish people would realise what a brilliant concept Tiger was trying to achieve. He had been working towards an entirely new approach to golf, constructing a course with holes in different cities, for either stroke play or skins, the player chooses which. Unfortunately he had only managed the first 12/ 13 holes before people could appreciate his approach.

Leave the guy alone already. It's not your business to judge him in his personal life, He is a GREAT ATHLETE, and that did not change. He was judged for that only. His wife is the only one who has a right to judge his actions, and all these news reports are harming her more than he is. You all believe these tramps are "truthful".Why are they being rewarded for sleeping with a married man anyway??? If it were reversed, and Tiger hit his wife with a club after he found out she cheated, all will condemn him. Double standard! Look at all the female actresses who cheat on thier husband, and nobody said a thing. STOP with all this "Shocking" news and let them work out thier marriage problems. It's NOT YOUR business!!!!

And just what brand of vitamins is Tiger taking? Clearly, he's been working on his stroke for a long time...

I believe Roger Federer deserves athlete of the decade. Federer has broken the record for most Grand Slam titles and cemented himself as the number one tennis player of all time. That he was only third and beaten by Lance Armstrong who in all likelyhood took steroids smacks of American bias among the voters. Tiger should have got second place in my opinion with Bolt the Jamaican sprinter in third place.
