Daughter Gets Restraining Order Against Courtney Love

The feud between Courtney Love and her daughter Frances Bean Cobain is getting more tense by the day, as word is a restraining order was issued in order to keep Love away from her 17-year-old child. Just last week, guardianship of Frances -- the daughter of Courtney and the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain -- was abruptly awarded to Cobain's mother.

According to TMZ, Courtney cannot have any direct contact with Frances thanks to the restraining order, which was signed under seal and is currently temporary. There's a court hearing set for January 5 to attempt to make the restraining order permanent, TMZ is reporting.

Love lashed out at Frances on Facebook following the change of guardianship. "I hate to sound cold but any kid of mine who pulls this s--- has lost her position," Love wrote. "She was deceptive, she lied and she's lying to herself. My daughter is not always honest."

Still, she did have some kind words, saying that her daughter "is a wonderful kid" who has "bad people around her." To top it all off, there was this statement to Frances: " I love you and always will unconditionally."

Thank GOD! CL is a terrible mess and doesn't deserve to have Kurt's money or his child.

I hope Frances doesn't have to ever be involved with that trashy thing ever again. Courtney Love had a hand in the MURDER of Kurt Cobain.

I can't understand how it is that Courtney Love can't get her act together once and for all. The sad thing is that even loosing her daughter again, probably won't change that. This poor kid has had a bum deal from the day she was born and taken away from her parents, because of their drug use. Then her Dad dies when she was a baby, her Mom's drug use and much publicized shenanigans, which has to be humiliating for her. Thank God, she seems to have no desire to follow in her parents foot steps, and looks to her normal family for guidance.
Also Michael K, that is a horrible thing to say, even if you don't like the music or the person, he was someone's son, father, brother, friend, ect. That's deliberately hurtful, don't you think there's too much of that in this world?

Kurt Cobain and Nirvana was crap. They changed nothing. Unless you call music to kill yourself by changing the world then yeah. It got rid of a lot of people like Cobain which is always a good thing. His death no great lose to the world.

It's sad for any parent to be fighting with their child, and vice-versa. Especially around the x-mas holiday. Hope these 2 settle their differences before it's too late, especially when she's her only child and not having her father around.

How many rockers like Courtney Love and Curt Cobain have to spend wasted lives before we wake up from our stupor of thought that is "Rock and roll"? Humanity needs to rediscover MUSIC!! A word that in itself stands for creative beauty, harmony, and balance. Some of what we call Rock is positive, but so much of it win's praise for it's destructive influence. Just look at the lives of it's biggest proponents and learn.

That puzzles me too System's Bad. Why now ? The kid is 17 and will be 18 soon enough. Why wasn't something done sooner in France's life if things were so bad. Makes no sense to me at all. If this kid was with her for 17 years, why go this route, why not just emancipate herself from her mother ? This whole situation smells fishy to me.
