Gosselin Divorce Final ... Finally

After a well-publicized and scandal-marked separation, the divorce of Jon and Kate Gosselin is final, TMZ reports. Judge Arthur Tilson has signed the papers, making the Gosselin marriage officially over. Kate calls the process "challenging" and says that the family's next step will be "restructuring our lives."

Kate says, "I am very relieved that our divorce has been finalized, and I look forward to the New Year, focusing on our children." Her lawyer adds that Kate "will continue to reside with all eight of her children in the former marital home."

The lawyer, Mark Momjian, says, "We are very pleased with the final outcome."

Judge Tilson signed the documents following an arbiter's decision on dividing the couple's assets, despite a recent statement from Jon's camp suggesting the divorce would not be finalized until early 2010.

A report on MSNBC says that the papers were filed in spite of a last-minute holdup: Jon's gun. He was spotted shooting a .38 pistol on the couple's Pennsylvania property. On Thursday, a judge issued a court order barring the gun from the property; whether the ban remains a part of the final divorce agreement in unclear.

Hear Hear Jackie, and everyone enough with the congradulations! The end of what was once a good marriage is nothing to celebrate. Is anyone but me actually worried about Cara, Mady, Aaden, Alexis, Colin, Hannah, Joel, and Leah? If not for them the papparazzi bottom-feeders(who are responsible for this breakup) would have never had Jon & Kate in their beady little sights, and they'd proabaly still be together. Think about it. How would YOU like every aspect of your lives open to public scrutiny, and having people spreading lies and filth about you around, just to lind their own pockets? I always said Jon had no balls and if Kate treated him like a child it's because he acted like one, which he later proved by running around like a single teenager, He didn't need Kate's approval or ours to cheat on his wife in front of the cameras, I don't know many women who would be ok with that. And why is it okay for him to cheat and Tiger gets cut down for the same thing? We have no clue as to how Elin treated him in private, cause they didn't have a reality show. So quit being so critical of Kate, I think she is a great mom. And judging by the blogs alot of guys thinks she's all that. Way to go Kate!!!!!

I think the were both immature. I stopped watching the show early on, Kate was just too harsh and children have their lives exposed to the public on a anything goes reality show.

Maybe some men are interested in Kate because the see dollar signs in front of their eyes.

Why didn't the judge make them sell the last house and go back to one that was about 1/3 the size, and large enough for them.

It is sickening these 2 people think because they traded their childrens private lives and family life for what 2 seasons they may have actually earned a substancial amount of money, they the Gosselin parents sound like they are trying everything to get back on tv.

Enough is enough, and, if Kate Gosselin show up on "Dancing With The Stars" like she said she would like to, my family and I will not watch that season even though my family has watched all of the other seasons.
