Does Tiger Woods deserve to be named AP's Athlete of the Decade in light of this month of scandal? PopEater joined forces with Access Hollywood to ask that very question. Over 50,000 voted and the results were close, but in the end, 53 percent of you think that Tiger's actions on the golf course should speak for themselves and that he's worthy of the honor. For those of you that voted he wasn't, we are guessing some of that might have to do with this ever-growing list of women.

Tiger does`nt need golf to survive.Golf needs Tiger to survive..So yeah..He deserves the award..If he`s not playing,Nobodys watching..

People put too much on awards. Awards for anything seems to be foolish to say the least.. The awards should go to the men & weman that live a long rich life. Awards have no value what-so-ever in life, but try this on for size... "I woke up this morning and that makes it the best day of my life." The man that said this was 108 years old. Do you think he valued the award of life at 108 or just the fact he was able to wake up at that age. Damn, I really admire people who bath each day in the gift of life.Give Tiger his award, it has very little meaning, except to the greedy group that gave it. It's all about the money, and please never forget this.

So what if he's found to have been using performance enhancement drugs?? Then will people think he deserves it?? I doubt it. And, that could very well happen. Anyone notice how he's "bulked up" in recent years? That certainly could be a sign he's using something. He should never have gotten the award!

You probably don't even play golf or know anything about the game. If you knew his workout routine you would understand why he looks the way he does.
the steroid stuff is pretty stupid. even if he did, and i don't think he did, steroids affect strength. It sounds as you've never played or followed the game. He was already one of the biggest hitters on the tour. Golf is really not based on strength. He also works out daily.
I am so tired of everyone in Tiger's private life! He is worthy of both honors this year. Stay out of his private life!

Oh yeah he is definitely "player" of the decade! I don't know how many holes it must have taken, but it must of been a lot! Some of the holes seemed skanky but a hole is a hole is a hole. For all you that think this is wrong your nothing but player haters cause Tiger is the BEST player around.

Tiger is a GREAT ROLE MODEL for all of the guys you excel at sports and produce babies out of wedlock, who can't seem to keep it under control even after they've obtained a wife, and rely on their STAR QUALITY to get away with the unacceptable.

Golf would have no viewers if it were not for Tiger. The media has what they wanted, Tiger and his wife are getting a divorce. They just couldn't stay out of it. There is more to this story then Tiger and his wife...there are their children. So I hope the media is happy with butting into someones personal business. Good job there guys. It is for Tiger and his wife to sort this mess out not the media...

Kelly, Golf managed to survive for several hundred years before Tiger Woods showed up. Sam Snead,Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus helped expand the popularity of the sport to the point that -- in the early 90's -- golf courses were being built at a rate better than one a day. Once again, this was long before Tiger showed up for the tour. And, while Tiger certainly increased the viewership for TV, the game is not likely to dry up and blow away in the wind.
I agree with Kelly but would like to further add....the media is made up of vultures who delight in destroying peoples lives. They thrive on manipulation. I do not watch or listen to anything negative about Tiger. He is not a public official or clergyman. This is a private citizen dealing with a personal issue that should have been between him and his wife but you VULTURES made sure that didn't happen as you hoped through your jealous hypocrisy to destory this man and take every thing he's earned from him. He ,without doubt, deserves the award...and is the YOUNGEST AND BEST GOLF PLAYER EVER. I hope you all get what you deserve one day, the problem with that is since you're nobody, who would care. Get a life and leave Tiger alone. Go Tiger I'm praying for you and your family.
Golf ain't no sport. It's a game. Cow pasture pool ! Lil' old ladies in a sun bonnet can play golf. Only award Tiger deserves is disgraced husband and father of the century.

When you can hit a golf ball consistently 300 yards, when you can drive a car 200 MPH 6 feet from the guy in front of you without peeing your big boy pants, give me a call. although golf is not an athletic event what does sleeping with all these hoe's got to do with it.he is being honored for playing a sport. it's funny but the average man has slept with a minimum of ten women.tiger was a dorky looking kid who couldn't get any play until he became famous and he felt the need to redeem himself. unfortunately he forgot that he had married his nanny.he totally dogged his wife.
