Blake Says He and Amy Winehouse Are 'Engaged' and 'Want Kids'

Blake Fielder-Civil, the formerly heroin-hobbled ex-husband of Amy Winehouse, had something surprising to tell The Sun newspaper last night: "We're back together -- and we're engaged."

Oh, but there's more to surely upset Winehouse's protective papa Mitch: "Amy and I have talked about ... starting a family. We both definitely want kids."

The couple divorced in September, but Fielder-Civil insists they never stopped loving each other and got engaged in November. He now says he's "100 percnt clean" and determined to keep Winehouse off drugs as well.

He knows the idea of getting re-married won't be popular among his or her families, but "this time we're doing things properly and hopefully that will help both our families come round to the idea."

The couple first got hitched in May 2007 after dating off-and-on for two years. He was sent to jail in November 2007 on an assault charge during his imprisonment filed for divorce from Amy, citing her apparent acts of infidelity. Blake was released in March.

Now, he claims it was pressure from their parents to get divorced, and not adultery or drugs.

"We've both been through a lot but we love each other the same as ever. We've tried to get on with our lives and to see other people, but it wasn't the same. There's no one like Amy. She will always be the love of my life."

Is that really wise to allow a woman who is drunk or on drugs 80% of the time who is a singer, who will never be home, never be responsible and won't even know who these kids belong to and why are they in my house? To allow her to have kids that will probably have down syndrome or something with all the toxics in her body? Can't there be a law that if you are in the entertainment as a performer, you cannot have kids because your marriage will fall apart.

And now after they are together again and marry, they will probably die together from doing the drugs together. Two drug addicts together is not good, it usually lead to disaster.

And PLEASE DO NOT HAVE KIDS!! The poor kids would never stand a chance and who knows what could be wrong with them considering their parents' drug addiction.

Kids?????? I do try to not judge others - but, kids???? Is that a good idea??? Maybe this should be thought through a little more because having kids is a huge responsibility and no joke. Poor children of the world who enter at the hands of parents who only think of themselves. It's so annoying, really......

Amy is the poster child for domestic violence and drug abuse. I cannot help but think how many women will look to her and think that if she and her dysfunctional partner can do it so can they. I wonder how many will be wrong. This is no trivial thing. Lives are at stake here, one wrong turn and one could be dead. I hope they know vulnerable people are watching.

Maybe he's clean and sober now, but is Amy ? I don't know. But to talk about having children, OMG please say it isn't true. These two can't even take care of themselves, how on earth will they be able to take care of a baby ? God help them, may one or both of them be unable to conceive. If this is his true love, good for him and her, but seriously don't bring children into this. Get a dog, see if you can take care of a dog and if you can, then try a plant, keep that alive, and then maybe just maybe think about getting a kitten....
