A Friend Mourns 'Genuine, Kind' Brittany Murphy

While rumors swirl around the tragic death of Brittany Murphy, one friend tells PopEater's Rob Shuter about a side of the star that the public never saw. "She to date was the most genuine, kind, and generous human beings I've ever known," friend and actor Thom Christopher Warren says about the late actress.

Warren, like most of those who were close to Murphy, said he called his friend "Brit" and that she "had this sort of crazy maturity -- even as a little kid -- when it came to caring for people."

The actor goes on to explain that nearly two decades ago, a teenaged Murphy consoled him upon the passing of his mother.

"I remember when my mom died ... Brit would have been like 14, she called me and had so much compassion and kindness."

I too met Brittany in Los Angeles. She was an old soul in a little young body that just wanted to make mom Sharon proud. Which of course she did every day.

I worked with her on location for the movie The Happening. I remembered she'd always breakout the guitar during down time and sing. She was really funny and talented. She will really be missed.
